Big blue holes are the most mysterious underwater phenomenon of nature, representing long caves hundreds of meters deep. They are found in many parts of the world, but the most famous analogue is located in the Lighthouse Reef, and may also be a man-made creation of aliens.
The Belize Barrier Reef stretches along the coast for 280 kilometers and pleases diving enthusiasts with its pristine world, and there are also small islands where mangroves can be seen. A huge 120-meter deep crater was explored in the late 90s, but then scientists noted that the measurements were much deeper than previously thought. The purpose of the expedition was to study the system of underwater caves to collect samples and analyze the chemical composition. From a height, this miracle is perfectly visible and immediately strikes people with turquoise shades of clear water with a dark spot in the center, which attracts the attention of every specialist. The snow-white sand at the bottom complements the amazing underwater landscapes of this corner, which turned out to be on the 5th place among its brothers. They were really created by human hands, and here nature played the role of a master.
However, the object became an anomalous zone of the planet, although no one saw in it monsters or terrible tornadoes, sucking ships. Many tourists have seen UFO flights over it, and therefore the researchers assume that extraterrestrial guests participated in the creation of the cave. The big blue hole arose during the ice age, which was confirmed by the stalactites found there, and then it continued its changes in the process of melting ice and raising the water level. The walls of the karst formation have collapsed greatly, so now it is difficult to imagine that in ancient times it was the simplest terrestrial version that was not located in the depths of the sea. This theory was put forward long ago, but the deepening became known after the research of Jacques Cousteau, who went here on his ship in the 70s. For the first time, the scientist was able not only to visit the bottom of the cave, but also to take rock samples from there, which showed the formation of a natural masterpiece in several stages. But the real purpose of such a large funnel still confuses the minds of many specialists. Many people are sure that the aliens created it to store their technologies, since the walls are striking in their evenness, and the cylindrical shape of the hole clearly resembles a vessel. Skeptical fellows consider it a well that arose after the destruction of the underwater tunnels leading to the mainland. Until it became known that millions of years ago in this area after a strong earthquake, the vaults of the Lighthouse Reef tilted, and the ceilings of the formation were badly destroyed. While swimming, people are accompanied by shoals of white sea bass and three-spined smelts along with good-natured dolphins, but corals and sponges also show themselves in all their glory, sitting on the walls of the reef. Turtles and hammerheads scurry about between them, but earlier divers, after diving in panic, rose to the surface, noticing in the depths of the cave a terrible 6-meter snake with red eyes, but no one else has seen such a monster. Scientists continue to discuss the nature of the blue hole, as they have already had the opportunity to make sure that there is an ancient city at the bottom of Titicaca, so the solution to the phenomenon is still waiting for its time.
