The United States has always loved strange experiments. The stories of the missing cruiser Philadelphia, which (allegedly) went to travel in time, continued in the little-known Montauk project: it is believed that soldiers were already sent into the future within its framework.
At a military base near Montauk, volunteers were exposed to high-frequency radio pulses. It's hard to say what effect the scientists were going to achieve, but over time, people just started to go crazy. According to the official version, after that the project was closed. According to another, backed up by some evidence, the American warriors did indeed succeed.
The American engineer Preston Nichols is confident that the military has carried out the so-called "slide" across the variable universe. That is, as such, there was no journey into the past, but the passage to the parallel history was open.
According to other information, the radar (it still stands right in Montauk City Park) was created to carry out a project to create a psychological weapon. It already looks more real than time travel. Of course, all data about the project remains classified.
