Pelius, seeing a man with one foot on, was immediately frightened and remembered the prediction. Jason demanded from Pelias that he hand over the kingdom, which rightfully belongs to him. For that, he promised to fulfill the requirements, but on the condition that Jason would go
to Colchis, where Eet reigns, and from there deliver the golden fleece - the skin of a ram, which has magical properties. It was not easy to get the skin of a magic ram, and Pelius knew about it, because he really wanted Jason to die on such a difficult journey.

Jason did not disagree with Pelias, and confidently began to gather his command army for this journey. The ship "Argo" was built with the help of Athena. Jason caught himself and called all the warriors from Hellas. The Argonauts asked the warrior Hercules to take full responsibility and be the leader of their army, but with this Hercules refused in favor of Jason.
The Argonauts set out on a voyage, produced courage, and after a long journey finally arrived in the kingdom of Eetus. Ett agreed to give the golden fleece, but if, Jason, he harnessed bulls, which are strong cloven-hoofed animals, to the plow, and plowed the ground with them. With the help of Etta's daughter, the loving Jason, the powerful sorceress Medea, all Etta's conditions were met. But, fearing that the king would not give up his golden fleece and kill the Argonauts, Jason secretly captured the fleece, and took Medea with him, and went to Greece with his commanding army. In order to somehow delay the pursuit, Medea had to kill her brother Aprisirt. After the murder, she scattered pieces of her brother's body across the sea. She knew that the ship that was chasing them, he would definitely stop and begin to collect Ett, the body parts of his son. When they returned to Iolk, Jason learnedthat the warrior Pelius drove his mother to suicide and killed his father. In order to take revenge on Pelia, Medea persuaded his daughters to kill their father, chop up his corpse and boil it in a cauldron. At the same time, she promised them that the king would rise strong, courageous and young. But, unfortunately, Medeini's promise never came, the father of the daughters was not resurrected. Having committed such a crime, Medea and Jason were banished from Iolcus, they decided to go further to Corinth to Creon. And here Jason lived for several years, he and Medea had two sons, Feret and Mermer. But rather, Jason decides to marry Creus, daughter of Creon. But Medea did not put up with this, and sent the newlywed a blanket, which was poisoned, and Creusa, unfortunately, died in terrible and severe torment. King Creon, fed to save his daughter, but, alas, he himself died. Medea still did not stop taking revenge on Jason,and departed before his eyes, his sons Feret and Mermer. After that, she took off in a chariot that was drawn by winged dragons. Jason was left alone, soon after and died under the wreckage of the ship "Argo".

It is not clear to us whether this was reality, but at least that's what the myths say. Historians and archaeologists claim that many myths are based on real facts. About the Argonauts, these myths appeared at the time when the Greeks began to make some attempts to get into the Black Sea. Most of the mythical places were real. The first obstacle on the way of the command troops "Argo" were the cliffs colliding with each other, because of which the ship barely slipped through, because of that incident the Bosphorus was described, or rather its strait. The Argonauts passed their way along the coast of the Caucasus, travelers passed through the places where they are now: Tuapse, Caucasus, Gelendzhik, Sochi … Mount Pelion is a mythical memory of Jason, so archaeologists on this mountain decided to excavate. In 2001 on the mountain, or rather,at the foot were found noble remains, the remains of the complex. Archaeologists believe that this complex could possibly be part of Iolca, where these events took place when Pelius promises Jason to return the right to reign. Of great importance in his collection are: figurines of small animals, three silver bowls - phials, two round decorative shields, on which a snake-legged woman is painted. There are also helmets, swords, horse harness parts, and many household items. According to art historians, all these items were made in Greece and then delivered in the 6th-5th centuries BC in the Caucasus. The doctrine and archaeologists believe that the objects found in the Mzymza valley were abandoned by the heroes and participants who at that time participated in the expedition, sailing from Colchis and Taman. Maybe,this became the basis for the myths about the appearance of the Argonauts.

In Colchis, the homeland of Medea, there are also confirmations of stories. Recently, near Supsi in Western Georgia, a gold position was found. There was an abandoned building nearby for its processing. Archaeologists believe that all of this belonged to King Ett. But the very fact about the existence of the golden fleece also has logical meaning. It turns out that in the Caucasus, the golden fleece was mined like this: they immersed a lamb skin in the waters of a gold-bearing river, but the fleece, on which the gold particles settled, was of great value. And in Georgia, in the village of Tsaishi, Zugdidi district, a burial was found in the courtyard of one of the private houses, what is most interesting is that there were no whole skeletons underground, only the bones of the legs, arms and skull. Residents of such a house, where unusual burials were found, say that even earlier in 1997, find such antiquities,they even found a bracelet, which, as a teaching, has been proven since the 8th century BC. Later, about 600 items were still found from the burials: many items of gold - brooches, pendants, pins, bronze sculptures of people and animals. There were also found beads of opal, glass and agate, carnelian. But the excavations of the buried contemporaries of Jason and Medea continue to this day.
