Rick Minter, author of the new sensational book Big Cats: Facing Britain's Wild Predators, says the Department of Defense is hiding the truth about the mysterious cats that are regularly seen in the UK
Mysterious large cats, black like a panther or more like a puma, have been observed hundreds of times in the countryside. Most indications are of Surrey, where the animal received from residents nicknamed Beast of Bodmin (Beast of Bodmin Moor).
Somebody think. that the famous Exmoor beast from Devonshire is the same creature. The legend about him, by the way, inspired the famous paranormal researcher and writer Arthur Conan Doyle to write a story about the Dog of the Baskervilles.
It is officially believed that the Bodmin Beast could be a big cat (panther or puma) that escaped from a zoo or a private collection. A government investigation in 1995 found no evidence of the presence of such animals, but meetings with the animal continued, and there are even videos; in addition, several cases of slaughter of livestock by some animals were recorded. In 1995, the skull of a large cat was found at Bodmin Moor. The staff of the Museum of Natural History, examining the skull, determined that it really belonged to a young male leopard, but it was determined that the animal was not killed in England, and that most likely the skull entered the country along with a carpet of leopard skin.
Rick Minter accuses the UK Department of Defense of hiding evidence that the body of a murdered big cat is stored at one of the RAF bases, and calls the British cats case as classified as the Roswell incident in the United States.
Minter said he met with retired former ministry officials who told him they saw the body of a large puma-like cat at the base, damaged like a bucket from an excavator.
In one of the local Surrey newspapers in 2004, there was an article about the murdered large cat the size of a sheep. It happened on the road to Whitby. Just not far from the military base …
Another researcher of mysterious cats in Britain, Mark Fraser, told the SUN newspaper that finding the corpse of this very cat is akin to finding the Holy Grail for all researchers:
-If the cat's body is actually stored at a military base, we want to know.
Photos and videos of unusual cat-like animals appear in British newspapers with enviable regularity. True, all this evidence is fuzzy and blurry. Farmers claim that they are suffering losses from the attacks of unknown animals. The most massive case of the killing of sheep by unknown predators occurred in 1983. Then in Exmoor more than 100 strangled sheep were found at once.
