The 79-year-old retired CIA agent claims to have been involved in the "controlled demolition" of the # 7 World Trade Center building, according to yournewswire.com. A retired CIA agent, Malcolm Howard, made a series of surprising statements after leaving hospital after treatment in New Jersey on Friday. He said he had a few weeks to live. Mr. Howard claims that he was involved in the “controlled demolition” of World Trade Center 7, the third building destroyed on September 11.
Mr. Howard, who has worked for the CIA for 36 years as an operative, claims he was recruited by senior CIA agents to work on the project because of his engineering background and previous career in the demolition business.
Trained as a civil engineer, Mr. Howard became an explosives expert after being recruited by the CIA in the early 1980s. Mr. Howard says he has "extensive experience in planting explosives in objects ranging from lighters to 80-story buildings."
The 79-year-old New Jersey native said he worked on a CIA operation they dubbed "New Age" between May 1997 and September 2001. This was the time when the CIA "was still following orders from above." Mr. Howard claims he was part of a cell of 4 operatives tasked with ensuring the successful demolition of the building.
Mr. Howard says the World Trade Center Building # 7 operation is unique among his other demolition assignments, as it is the only demolition in which "we had to pretend it wasn't demolition work." He claims that he had no problem with deception at the time, because “when you are a patriot, you don’t question the motivation of the CIA or the White House. You assume that you are doing everything in the interest of the common good. They choose good, loyal people like me, and it broke my heart when I heard all this vile talk that followed."
But even he admits now, looking back, "Something was wrong."

Explaining how the building was destroyed, Mr. Howard says: “It was classic controlled demolition with explosives. We used ultra-thin military nano-thermite composite materials as explosives. The difficulty was that thousands of pounds of explosives, fuses and ignition mechanisms had to be brought into the building without causing too much concern. But almost every office in Building 7 was rented by the CIA, the Secret Service or the military, which made things easier.”
Mr. Howard explains that WTC 7 was “loaded with explosives at strategic locations” in the month leading up to the one that changed the course of American history. On September 11, while the North and South Towers fell, building # 7 fired fuses and nanotermitic explosions gouged the building, destroyed the steel structure, removed reinforcements, and allowed office fires to burst through the rest of the structure, lowering its shell.
World Trade Center 7 collapsed at 5:20 pm, seven hours after the destruction of WTC 1 and 2. The collapse of the building shocked witnesses. A free fall collapse indicates that it encountered zero resistance on its way down.
Mr. Howard and his colleagues have done their job.
“When the building fell, it was like a sigh. Everything went exactly as we planned. It was so smooth. All were evacuated. Nobody was hurt in WTC 7. We were celebrating. We continued to watch the demolition repeat, we had whiskey and cigars, and suddenly the strangest thing happened. We all started to worry that it looked a little too sleek. We watched the tape over and over and we started to turn paranoid. It looked like controlled demolition. We realized that we were in shit, people are going to question this event. And then we heard that people from the street reported that they had heard explosions during the day. We were told that the BBC released its report and announced to the world that the building collapsed 20 minutes before it actually happened … At that moment we thought everyone was really alarmed."
