The gorge, which the locals will not agree to go even for a large reward, is located in the foothills of the Himalayas. The mere mention of this place causes panic among the aborigines. Indian officials in every possible way hide the coordinates of this gorge, and of the people who found themselves in this ruinous place, not one returned back. Several scientific expeditions have already died here.

The Valley of Terror was first talked about in the middle of the 19th century. The story began like this - a sudden storm caught the hunter in the mountains. The sky was covered with black clouds, and the rain poured down on the ground in a continuous veil. Old trees crackled with gusts of powerful wind, thunder rumbled, accompanying bright flashes of lightning.

The man decided to hide from the weather in a cave located on a mountain slope. Looking around, he noticed a skeleton, on which the remains of a military uniform were visible. A bag with two flintlock pistols and a hardcover notebook lay nearby. The hunter was illiterate, but he took his notebook and all other property with him. Over time, he completely forgot about his find, and the notebook lay in his hut for almost fifty years.

At one point, she found herself in the hands of G. Dickford, a rare adventurer who was looking for Indian treasures. Somehow, having sorted out the records on almost decayed paper, faded from many years, he came to the conclusion that he was the owner of the notes of the captain of the British colonial forces, R. Butterfield. Then he heard rumors of a valley called the Seven Deaths.

Treasure hunt

In former times, these places were the capital of an ancient settlement under the rule of a rajah. The ruler had seven sons of a heroic physique and a powerful army that did not know defeat. Gradually all local tribes were subdued by them.

The brothers were blinded by fame and pride, and they were not flattering about the god Shiva. God was angry and incinerated the brothers along with their army with a fiery arrow. And he struck the city itself with a blow of a terrible force, from which a giant funnel formed in the place of the capital. Many years passed, the funnel was filled with water and, thus, a lake appeared in the mountains. The wealth of the rajah rests under its waters.

At Butterfield, practicality and romance are intertwined. Having familiarized himself with the legend, he wanted to find the valley and appropriate the ancient treasure. Together with a dozen soldiers, he rushed into the mountains. Much time has passed in an unsuccessful search. None of the people who met on the way even heard about the wanted valley.

But persistence still helped the captain achieve his goal. One fine day, the detachment entered a mysterious gorge, through which the travelers entered a wide valley. There they saw a calm lake, and centuries-old ruins piled up on its opposite shore. Rocks prevented them from getting to them on dry land, and the soldiers put together rafts, since a small forest grew on the shore of the lake. Since the day was already approaching sunset, it was decided to postpone the crossing until morning. The travelers had supper and settled down for the night, not forgetting to send sentries.

During the whole night, the captain did not wake up even once. In the morning he left the tent and saw that there was no one left in the camp. All the uniforms were stacked neatly on the coast. The impression was that the servicemen, as if on command, undressed and rushed into the water. Butterfield approached the lake and immediately drew back.

In the reservoir, he saw the face of the devil, which attracted him to him. With superhuman efforts, Richard averted his gaze and, with all his strength, ran away. Gradually, his condition worsened: his whole body was burning, his head was spinning, consciousness periodically disappeared. With incredible difficulty, the captain reached the cave and died there, leaving behind entries in his diary, which he kept from the very beginning of the journey.

Valley's new victims

After a thorough deciphering of the diary, G. Dickford determined the coordinates of the valley with great accuracy. He decided to take possession of the untold treasures and invited his friends to join the adventure. At the very beginning of the 20th century, the company went into the mountains and disappeared.

Time passed, and in one of the mountain villages a ragamuffin appeared. His gaze seemed insane, his hair fell out in places, his body was almost completely covered with severe burns. The man said something incomprehensible about friends who were killed in the valley of death by a dark force. It was G. Dickford, who was admitted to a psychiatric hospital. There, he continued to frighten the staff with his speech about the ghost, striking with his gaze and about the huge flying fire. Three days passed, and the unfortunate man died.

Nobody began to investigate this mysterious and inexplicable incident. Only a few years later, at the request of a government official who is a relative of one of the disappeared members of the ill-fated expedition, a detachment of researchers was sent to the mysterious valley.

While in the camp, set up at the research site, one of the scientists lit a match. Immediately a terrible roar was heard, and flames swept across the entire valley, leaving unhealed burns on the skin of the travelers. Fleeing from the fire, two participants of the campaign rushed to the lake, but lost their balance and fell to the ground. The fire abruptly disappeared and the people ran back to their comrades to help them. But they were already dead.

And again a failed expedition

Another group of researchers was sent to the valley in 1911. Five of its members, as follows from the entries in the diary, died very quickly, and the other two continued to keep a diary. According to the records, the expedition went to the lake and several people headed to the water's edge. Almost at the very shore, they began to circle in place at an incredible speed, but soon fell dead.

Those who survived experienced incredible horror. They rushed away, lost their way and, in the end, simultaneously died under unclear circumstances, since there were no entries in the diary on this score.

Eight years later, we equipped the last, at the moment, expedition to the Valley of the Seven Deaths. Scientists have put forward a version that toxic fumes are coming from the lake, which are the cause of all the troubles. The expedition members took with them the appropriate protective equipment. Dressed in special suits and wearing gas masks, they carefully examined the entire gorge and found about two dozen skeletons.

Three professional climbers climbed a steep cliff and walked along its ridge. At the same time, the gas masks had to be removed, since it is simply impossible to perform such a trick in protective ammunition. Standing on the top, the explorers laughed, waved their arms and shouted something to their comrades standing below. Then, as if on command, they jumped into the lake at once and disappeared from sight forever.

Since then, visiting the ominous valley has been banned by the Indian authorities. Presumably, the lake emits a nerve gas with flammable properties, which has a devastating effect on the human body.

In addition, there is an assumption that the lake is located in a large crater formed by the explosion of a nuclear warhead of enormous power during the war of the first supercivilizations. In the Indian epic, for example, in the Mahabharata there is information about the "wars of the Gods", the consequences of which people may be observing.
