A huge bull of a white and black Holstein-Friesian breed named Knickers weighs one and a half tons and is the same height as basketball players.
It is Australia's largest cow and one of the largest in the world.
For his breed, he has twice the weight, on average, the Holstein-Friesian bull weighs no more than 600 kg and half a meter lower.
Because of his abnormally large size, Knickers was lucky enough to escape the slaughterhouse and was left to live out his days in a herd at Lake Preston.
Farm owner Jeff Pearson says that when Knickers exceeded normal parameters, it became impossible to sell him for meat due to the fact that he did not fit into the cattle transport. Knickers is now 194 cm tall.
The bull also could not be identified as a producer, since he was castrated when he was still a calf. Now Knickers lives in a herd of brown cows and he stands out among them as well as Goliath among the army of the Philistines.

The Knickers are still slightly lower than the tallest cow in the world. According to the Guinness Book of Records, the tallest cow is just over 2 meters tall, so Knickers needs to grow a little more. And the heaviest bull in the world weighs 2267 kg.
The owner of the bull does not explain why he thinks the bull has grown so abnormally large, but veterinarian Rupert Mathersol thinks there are several factors. Firstly, many bulls castrated in youth tend to gain weight, and secondly, a long breeding program is also important, which makes selection in favor of large individuals.
