There is still an increased level of radiation in the "Exclusion Zone", so there are no people willing to return to this Ukrainian city yet. These measures were quite effective, although it took quite a lot of effort and money. But how long can he endure? The sarcophagus was built by more than six hundred thousand people, but even this is not able to prevent it from destruction, because nothing is forever.
The time for the construction of the sarcophagus was rather short, so it was not very long. Information appeared that the sarcophagus is now in a state of destruction, so it was decided to dismantle it. It is planned to invest about $ 80 million for the dismantling of the structure, which will be completed in 4 years, the agreement has already been signed. The information also indicates that after dismantling the structure, they plan to eliminate the radioactive waste that remained in the reactor at number 4. Instead of the sarcophagus, it is planned to create a kind of shell that will prevent the release of emissions into the atmosphere.
