A burial was discovered in the Krasnodar Territory, which may reveal the secret of dolmens. In one of them, archaeologists have found the remains of a man who lived on earth six thousand years ago. Around the same time, the Egyptians were building the pyramid of Cheops.

A rare case in archeology: the inhabitants of the Shepsi village found a dolmen, inside which there is one of the oldest burials. These remains are approximately six thousand years old. Fragments of hands, ribs, hip bones, and skull were found. The person buried here was about a millennium older than the Egyptian pharaoh Cheops. And they buried him in a tomb, monumental for those times, in a stone dolmen.

Experts say that the exact dating of this complex and this particular dolmen can be said after archaeological research. The burial was perfectly preserved because the dolmen had been at the bottom of the river for many centuries. Apparently, the channel was originally in a different place. Even before our era, the dolmen was flooded, but this year, the spring flood eroded the bottom, and the river became shallow.

The lid of the megalithic structure was blown away by a stream and an ancient grave was exposed. “Since childhood, I have been by this river,” says Boris Barsukov, a resident of the Shepsi village. - And it turns out that we don't know everything. She probably has some other secrets."

Ceramic vessels were found, most likely for ritual purposes, as well as a human skull and many bones. True, scientists cannot yet examine them: the remains were seized by representatives of the Investigative Committee. The bones were sent for examination, just in case. Although archaeologists have no doubt that the burial is thousands of years old. It is not yet known who the remains belonged to - a man or a woman, how old the man was and what was the cause of his death.

Even the purpose of the stone objects, which were also found in the dolmen, is unknown. One object in the burial immediately catches the eye. Scientists cannot yet say exactly what it is. It is a stone sphere of a very regular shape, obviously, it was worked by a man. It remains to be seen what it was intended for.

The excavations, which will begin here in the coming days, will provide, as archaeologists hope, sensational scientific material. The study of this burial will make it possible to understand who built megalithic buildings in the Caucasus, what were the rituals of these people. The expedition has a chance for the first time to study in detail the completely untouched dolmens: at the bottom of the river, apparently, there are several such buildings.

Now the dilapidated dolmen at the mouth of the river is carefully guarded. Local authorities fear that locals and tourists will take away the find as souvenirs. They are also afraid of a rise in the water level in the river. Scientists will have only a few days to try to solve the riddle of dolmens.
