The modern world has long lost its secrets and mysteries. Everything that could be found has already been found. And what they did not find was firmly and forever forgotten. But is it really that simple? It turns out this is an empty and stupid delusion. Some secrets are of interest even after centuries. And when you begin to study them in detail, you find clear similarities with other stories. Often centuries pass between similar cases. And they happen all over the world. So what do they have in common? Let's try to figure it out.
The first story. Missing Roanoke Colony (Canada). Reference: The Roanoke Colony, also known as the Lost Colony, is an English colony on the island of the same name (currently in Dare County, North Carolina, USA), funded by Sir Walter Raleigh under Queen Elizabeth I to establish the first permanent English settlement in North America.
On August 18, 1590, the military who arrived with the ship found that 90 men, 17 women, 11 children had disappeared without a trace. The only clue was the letters "CRO" carved into one of the trees near the fort, and on the palisade around the village was the word "CROATOAN". Two buried skeletons were also found. All buildings and fortifications were dismantled, which meant that the settlers were not forced to leave quickly. There was a lot of speculation about the missing people. But no one has ever discovered, not even a trace of the departed settlers. They just disappeared, disappeared forever.
The second story. On January 10, 1930, the whole Eskimo village of Angikuni, located on the shores of Lake Angikuni, inexplicably disappeared from the face of the earth. Until now, the Canadian authorities have not been able to solve this riddle or find any of the members of the village or their descendants. The villagers didn't seem to exist. Arriving at the scene, the police were shocked by the new nightmarish details. The graves of the local cemetery were excavated, and the remains simply disappeared. The earth and gravestones were carefully stacked near each pit, eliminating even a hint of wild animals at work. It was also unusual for the Inuit to defile the memory of the dead. In addition, killed dogs were found. Of course the Inuit would never kill their breadwinners. And these were the best sled dogs. I think it is pointless to say that no one has ever found the trapped people. It was all that way.
Third story. Village Rastess. Sverdlovsk region. Ancient settlement. It was inhabited until 1950. The settlers were actively engaged in hunting and subsidiary farming. They mined gold and platinum. In 1950, the village was suddenly abandoned. All things and utensils thrown in open houses. People disappeared forever. The cemetery was dug up and all the dead disappeared along with the villagers. The place is very scary even today. Therefore, no one goes there anymore. Several ruined houses and a former cemetery with dug graves remained from the entire village.
The fourth story. Dyatlov Pass. This event, which supposedly happened on the night of February 2, 1959, in the Northern Urals, near the pass, later called the Dyatlov Pass, when a group of 9 tourists, led by Igor Dyatlov, died under unknown circumstances. The story is mystical and creepy. To this day, there is no consensus on it.
The most interesting thing turned out to be that all these places are on the same line. So the village of Rastess and the Dyatlov pass are clearly located in a straight line at a distance of 261 kilometers. Perfect straight line. The Roanoke colony and the missing Eskimo village of Angikuni, together with the village of Rastess and the Dyatlov Pass, form a regular triangle. Also connected by straight lines. For random events, a thing is simply unthinkable. As if someone had drawn a triangle on the globe, marking its corners with these settlements. Explicit mysticism is impossible to explain. But in all these places there were swamps, in the Roanoke colony, even a whole lake. And the Dyatlov pass, in general, is located in the mountains. In all cases, there was an active panic among the victims. Possibly caused by severe hallucinations. An incomprehensible inscription even appeared in the Roanoke colony, the word "CROATOAN". And the burial of skeletons is illogical. Why skeletons? Not corpses but skeletons? Where did they come from in this settlement? Well, where did all the residents go? Why is there no sign that they died? Why did they dismantle and abandon all their houses and buildings?
There is even more in common between the village of Rastess and the Eskimo village of Angikuni. In both cases, people disappeared without a trace. And before leaving, they dug up the cemeteries and took away all the dead with them. At the same time, without taking any food or clothing with you. Apparently people left naked, taking with them the half-rotten bodies of their dead relatives. The picture turns out to be absolutely wild and ridiculous.

At the Dyatlov pass, people had a panic. Therefore, they all died, some from injuries, some from the cold. But here, too, attention is drawn to the fact that all the victims were almost naked. And this despite the terrifying frost, snow, and wind on the pass.
In an effort to sort out this mystery, I studied satellite images. On the Dyatlov pass, in the place where the camp of tourists was, slightly away from the camp, on the mountain overgrown with trees there is a large wasteland. Perfect bald spot. A place where nothing grows. I wonder if there is a crack in the granite? Usually, sulfur dioxide comes out of such cracks. Especially in the mountains!
Rastess is impressive too. Several houses. The excavated soil in the cemetery. Everything is the same as it was on the day of the disappearance of people. Where did the inhabitants go? Or were they all dead? So where did their corpses go?
The reason for their death is the same for all. They died due to acute poisoning with sulfur dioxide. Gas is released in such places from the soil. Causes strong euphoria and hallucinations so that perhaps naked and frostbitten people really left their settlements. Then people died from the teeth of wild animals, or, simply, froze on the move. What they were doing defies logic. But I still can't understand why all these settlements are on the same line and form a regular triangle. Apparently, it is too early to submit these stories to the archive. By the way, the glow of the air and soil in the area of the missing village of Rastess can be explained by the release of radioactive gas Radon. Radon is a colorless and odorless radioactive monoatomic heavy gas. The intrinsic radioactivity of radon causes its fluorescence. Gaseous and liquid radon fluoresces with blue light,in solid radon, when cooled to nitrogen temperatures, the color of fluorescence becomes first yellow, then red-orange. When combined with sulfuric gas, it causes pulmonary edema. All Dyatlovites had common symptoms. The autopsy report says that: “On the cut, the lung tissue is dark cherry in color.
