Legends of the terrifying demonic dogs (Hellhound) have existed among many peoples for hundreds of years. The most famous of these is the British Black Dog.
Demon dogs are easily distinguishable from ordinary dogs at first glance. Firstly, they are unusually huge, almost the size of a cow, and secondly, they have thick and shaggy wool, as a rule, of black color and eyes burning with a red flame.

From time to time, ghosts of people are seen in this cemetery, but the most famous local monster is a frightening dog, as if coming from the very depths of Hell.
Stories about this creature have been told for over two hundred years. He is described as a large dog with black fur and glowing red or green eyes. Most often, it appears from dense fog or smoke screen.

The most famous case of meeting this creature occurred in the 90s. Two young men were driving late in the evening in a car past the cemetery, and suddenly a black and large creature jumped across the road right in front of their car.
The driver immediately applied the brake and stopped abruptly. People felt that they almost shot down an ordinary animal, but when they saw this animal in front of them, they realized that it was something completely different.
The dog standing on the road was so huge that it reached the height of a man at the withers, its hair was shaggy and thick black, its mouth was open and large sharp white fangs were clearly visible.
When the first shock passed, the driver jerked off, wishing to be as far away from this animal as possible, but the animal, after hesitating for a couple of seconds, rushed after the car! The driver and passenger screamed out of fright and immediately increased their speed from 50 to 60 miles.

Another story about meeting a local demonic dog was told on Reddit. A user once went to those places to ski and snowboard with relatives and his friend Stephen.
On the way, they decided to stop by the popular local restaurant “The Daniel Boone Inn”, but when they were passing by the same old church, the driver (the user's uncle) suddenly hit the brakes and the car stopped in the road.
Another story comes from an unknown woman who was also driving her husband's car one evening past an old church.
Suddenly, something large and dark appeared on the road in front of them and they were forced to brake.
Perhaps the clue to all demonic dogs lies in the legend that goes around this dog from North Carolina. Once upon a time, people believed that the first person buried in a cemetery becomes its guard.
But over time, the relatives of the deceased began to consider such a "position" too burdensome and the first in the new cemetery was buried a large black dog, so that she would become the eternal guardian of these places.
