Back in 2004, the now retired commander of the US Navy, David Fravor, encountered something unusual 130 km off the coast of San Diego. He raided in his F / A-18F Super Hornet carrier-based fighter "Super Hornet" and claims to have seen from the cockpit an unidentified flying object, oval in shape, approximately 12 meters in length. In 2017, he spoke about this in an interview with the New York Times.
It would seem, what's the big deal? The network is full of rumors of military encounters with UFOs, and the next story, not supported by evidence, should not have caused much interest. However, this long-standing story surfaced last week, all thanks to one very interesting circumstance. The fact is that representatives of the US Navy have confirmed that the video taken from the cockpit is not a fake.
In an interview with comedian and podcaster Joe Rogan, Fravor told a new story he heard from a Navy helicopter pilot. In the 90s, this pilot's job was to extract drones and underwater telemetry torpedoes from the ocean. The pilot was flying the CH-53 at the time, "a heavy draft that the Marine Corps uses for special operations," Fravor himself explained.
The operation takes place as follows: a diver is parachuted from the plane, he picks up a drone and returns with it on board. Only this time a "mysterious dark body" rose to meet them from the water, which then simply returned to the depths as soon as the load was removed from the water.
A few months later, the helicopter pilot saw the same thing. He assured that it was not a submarine: “Having seen the silhouette of a submarine once, you will not confuse it with anything. The same object was round in shape, not at all like a boat. The diver, who was urgently brought aboard, assures that the dark something literally sucked the torpedo into itself, and then went into the depths of the ocean.
