This is not an anomaly and not a consequence of neglect of hygiene, as almost all people have them and there is nothing we can do to get rid of them.
The acne mite, or the face mite or Acne glandular (Demodex folliculorum) is a very small creature that is almost impossible to see with the naked eye. Males are only 279 micrometers in size, females are slightly larger and on average 300 micrometers in size (1 micrometer equals 0.001 millimeters).
Acne mites can live only on human skin and mainly on the face. They spend most of their lives buried inside the bases of hair follicles, those very small hairs or "peach" hair on your face.
They feed on sebum - the greasy and oily secretions of the skin glands that prevent our skin from drying out. Therefore, the largest number of facial mites accumulates in the places where the most sebum is secreted - around the eyes, nose and mouth.
Even if you constantly wash your face with various powerful products, you will not get rid of these mites. But there is good news - scientists have found that our immune system does not allow them to multiply vigorously and keeps their number within acceptable limits.
However, sometimes the immune system can malfunction and there are a lot of such mites on the face. And then there is such a skin disease as demodicosis.

The older you are, the more mites will be on your face. Newborns do not have them at all, but then they receive them from their mothers. In children under 10 years of age, there are very few of them, in middle-aged people there are already quite a lot, and in older people, they are teeming with these ticks.
In general, you can live with facial mites and never feel discomfort from their presence. However, some of their habits are very unpleasant in any case. In particular, at night, these mites crawl out of the follicles and crawl over our skin, and then find a partner and copulate.
After that, they crawl through their follicles and soon the females lay eggs.
