A man with the initials "FH" wrote to the American researcher of mysterious creatures Lon Strickler and told about how in childhood he was attacked by a humanoid creature with wings and almost carried away.
The man also sent his drawings of this creature. He still remembers in detail what it looked like.
The incident took place on the night of October 27, 1967, when the eyewitness was still very young. At the time, he lived with his parents, older sister and grandmother in Rolling Prairie, Indiana.
The family was not rich and instead of a house they only had a small trailer. One day the roof of a trailer fell through in one place and a large hole was temporarily covered with a piece of tarpaulin.
The eyewitness and his sister were sleeping in a distant nook and that night he suddenly woke up from a strange noise, and also from a very unpleasant smell. When he turned to check on his sister, he suddenly saw a very tall humanoid creature with wings on its back, standing next to her bed and looking at her.
The creature was so tall that it lacked the height of the trailer and stood hunched over. His body and face were covered with short black hair, and the wings behind his back were leathery and seemed very large. They were shaped like the wings of a bat or gargoyle.
The arms and legs of the creature were very muscular, but the body itself was thin and similar in structure to the human body, sharp teeth could be seen in the mouth. The eyes were dark. The creature made a distorted low sound.

Seeing this monster very close, the boy screamed loudly and began to call mom and dad, but for some reason they did not respond. But the grandmother woke up and ran to the children. However, she could do nothing to help, at the sight of this creature she only fell to her knees in horror.
And then it all happened very quickly. The humanoid grabbed the boy in his arms, and then ran towards the hole in the roof and climbed out through it. Apparently that's how he got into the trailer. An eyewitness remembers how the grandmother screamed loudly, and it was cold and humid outside.
A humanoid with a child in his arms flew into the sky, but then released him. Just at that moment, the boy's parents woke up from their strange deep sleep and immediately heard a scratching on the roof of the trailer, and then a dull thump. Amid the screams of a frightened grandmother, they found their son lying unconscious on the roof of the trailer next to the hole.
According to an eyewitness, he does not remember anything after he was grabbed by a humanoid and pulled out. He woke up already in bed, surrounded by worried parents and grandmother. The next morning, the boy's parents decided to keep silent about the incident as they were afraid of ridicule and accusations of lying. They did not even show him to the doctors, although they feared that he might have injuries.
The eyewitness quickly recovered, but the incident left him with a deep mental trauma. Years later, he watched a movie about the Moth Man in the theater and had a severe nervous breakdown. So strong that on the scene with a car accident, he ran out of the auditorium and afterwards never even tried to watch the film to the end.
It was only recently that an eyewitness decided to tell others about his case when his younger brother told him about the researcher Lona Strickler and how he collects such stories. He also sent him his drawings of this creature and it really looks very creepy.
