The family of farmers with the surname Bell, from the American state of Tennessee, became famous all over the world thanks to the terrible events that took place in their house in the early 19th century. For several years John Bell, his wife Lucy and 8 children were terrorized by a poltergeist.
It all started with strange visions: John and his eldest son saw creepy creatures near the house. A dog with a rabbit head, giant rats, fantastic birds with glowing eyes. Then the creatures entered the cottage. The kids could not sleep at night, hearing something invisible wandering next to their beds. The creak of the floorboards turned into a knock that passed into the walls, onto the roof.

Whether it is true or not, after death, the ghost terrorized John's most susceptible youngest daughter for several days. And then he disappeared, promising to return after 7 years.
All these years the family lived in constant anticipation, and when the poltergeist returned, experienced a second wave of horror. In 1828, the witch left the Bell Cottage. It is believed that the spirit settled in a cave, which is located 150 meters from the farm.
