The Amazon is a territory where non-contact tribes still live in impassable jungles. And it seemed these territories had never known human hands, but the discovered geoglyphs speak of something completely different.
Active human activity, and the liberation of the territory from the forest, made it possible to make an amazing discovery. It was originally believed that the area in the northwest of the Brazilian state of Acre was free of any historical monuments of the past and was never cultivated by man.
But the discovered 450 geoglyphs on an area of 13 thousand square kilometers indicate the opposite.
Geoglyphs for the most part are circles and squares with a diameter of up to 300 meters and their approximate age varies from 1400 to 2300 years.
The studies carried out showed that no archaeological objects were found near or inside the geoglyphs. As if the creators of these artifacts specially kept the "squares and circles" "clean" from any human activity.

This was explained by the fact that these structures were of a clear ceremonial nature. Scientists are also perplexed by such a large number of similar objects, which, judging by their structure, could in no way bear the character of defensive structures or cattle corrals.
Research on these objects continues, but most importantly, their discovery has shaken the unshakable confidence that nothing of historical value can be found in these tropical forests. And it is quite possible that careful research of forests using the most modern developments will reveal previously unknown civilizations.
