Some of the ancient structures are shrouded in legends and myths, therefore they are of great interest for research. One of such structures is the Qutub Column, which is installed on a square in the city of Delhi next to Qutub Minar.

Researchers are surprised that for 15 centuries no traces of rust have appeared on the column, which is quite unusual for such structures of antiquity.

Historical records of the column say that the building was originally erected in the early four hundredths next to the Vishnu temple in the east of the country, but after 6 centuries it was decided to move the column to Delhi.

The weight of the ancient pillar is six and a half tons, and the height is more than seven meters, and it is impossible to understand how it could be transported over such a distance if there were no modern technologies for the huge column.

Experts are surprised by the absence of rust, because the Delhi post is almost 100 percent iron, but there are only minor traces of corrosion on the post. In India, the rainy season lasts about 4 months and rust should have appeared on the column long ago.

The next oddity is precisely the 99.72 percent iron percentage. Even with modern technology, obtaining such a pure metal is not easy. In the composition of the pillar, it was not possible to find any elements that could increase the resistance of iron to rust.

It is because of the many oddities in the Qutuba column and questions about the production and movement of the ancient structure, various hypotheses have appeared.

Among them there are versions that it was allegedly built by the inhabitants of the legendary Atlantis or extraterrestrial civilizations. There is also a version that the column was made from a meteorite that fell to Earth in the past.

The inscription on the pillar reads as follows:

"King Chandra, beautiful as the full moon, attained supreme power in this world and erected a column in honor of the god Vishnu."

It turns out that there is no evidence in favor of hypotheses about the construction of the column by aliens or Atlanteans, but these versions remain very popular among ufologists and researchers of the secrets of ancient civilizations.
