More than 250 head of cattle have died in several Indian states in the past three days. To appease the local population, who consider the death of sacred animals an omen of impending disaster, officials from the veterinary medicine department sent a special commission to Landaduali, one of the hardest hit villages.
After autopsy, 57 animals showed signs of pneumonia. Experts suggested that cyclone Petay and cold torrential rains were to blame.
But local residents found the official conclusion unconvincing. After all, all the animals died almost simultaneously. People think the reason lies elsewhere. According to five shepherds who were looking after the flock, the animals suddenly began to behave strangely and soon fell down dead.
Perhaps the cows were exposed to some kind of poisonous substance that was sprayed from the air. But why then did the poison not harm the people who were nearby? So the grass that the animals ate was poisonous?
It is noteworthy that three days ago, something similar happened in Australia, where dead birds fell from the sky. Is there a relationship between these events? This and many other questions remain unanswered.

April 2017, 13 cows died in Uttar Pradesh. The incident was followed by a massive inspection of grain and feed: presumably, they could contain insecticides. The administration has promised to take action, but whether it has kept its promise is unknown.

May 2018, Ukraine. In the village of Medynya, Ivano-Frankivsk region, 15 cows died for an unknown reason. And the woman who was tending the herd ended up in intensive care. Ten of her fellow villagers also turned to a doctor for help. They all complained of a burning sensation in the throat, problems with breathing and digestion.
The incident was blamed on the Mriya agricultural holding, which cultivated its wheat fields and accidentally touched the territory of the settlement. As if in agreement with Indian colleagues, the Galician regional state administration declares the news a fake: the check has not been confirmed. A spokesman says that all the animals are alive, only one has a swollen belly (and he received veterinary care).
Moreover, the agricultural holding allegedly never rented land in the village of Medynya. In general, it was a local farmer who treated the fields with polycarbomide, which poses no threat to the health of cows. Mysticism, and nothing more. Following this, the author deletes the publication, which caused a great resonance. But the video with the injured shepherdess and the cow, which writhes in its death throes, remained on the Web.
October 2018, village Babstovo, Russian Far East. 10 cows and a bull died after visiting a field where the Chinese grow soybeans. The incident in this area is far from the first.
January 2011, Wisconsin, USA. About 200 cows died at Stockton Farm. According to the owner, the animals probably died from some unknown virus, because before that "they felt great."
In the same year, seven thousand buffaloes were missing in Vietnam. And shortly before that, dead birds fell from the sky like harbingers. It is unlikely that they were killed by the bird flu or evil alien invaders.
All countries have huge environmental problems. But the officials stubbornly close their eyes to this, as if forgetting that their children will have to live on a poisoned planet too.
