Rumors of the death of the legendary Loch Ness monster have been denied today by fans of the mysterious Scottish reptile

Suspicions that the monster allegedly hiding in the deep waters of Loch Ness in Scotland has died arose after just one person reported seeing the monster last year.

Gary Campbell, president of Nessie's official fan club, as the monster is affectionately called, told the Daily Telegraph that one observation made in the vicinity of the Clansman Hotel on June 6, 2009 was credible.

“That's why we were so relieved when we heard about what Nessie had seen. This happened in June, and before that there were no reports at all for a year. But if not for this testimony, we would really be very, very worried,”he said.

“Ten years ago we had a lot of good observations, but in the last two or three years, they have become less and less,” added the head of the club.

Campbell hopes that new evidence of encounters with the Scottish lake monster will refute the assumptions about the death of Nessie.
