In 1968, mysterious underwater structures were discovered at the bottom of the ocean near one of the Bahamas. The flat slabs formed something like a stone road going forward about 200 meters. The underwater formation became known as Bimini Road, after the nearby island. All these years, researchers have been arguing about the origin and purpose of the mysterious stone slabs.
It is rather difficult to conduct underwater research in these places - the strong current interferes. During the dive to the bottom, several people even died. However, this does not stop enthusiasts. Research has shown that other stone blocks are located under the top slabs. This may indicate that, in fact, not a road is hiding at the bottom, but the remains of huge buildings covered with silt for several meters. In addition, the divers found huge blocks at the bottom, fastened by an unknown composition, which they called the Bimini walls.
Most scholars regard the Bimini Road as a natural formation. In their opinion, the bizarre shape of the stone slabs appeared as a result of tides and weathering. However, independent researchers are confident that the Bimini road is a monument to an unknown civilization. In addition, the famous predictor Edgar Cayce, back in 1938, claimed that it was at Bimini that the remains of Atlantis would be found. He said that in 1968-1969 parts of the temples of a lost civilization would rise from under the water in this area.
