Several years ago I went to the Mangyshlak Peninsula, which is located in Kazakhstan near the Caspian Sea, to walk almost two hundred kilometers in search of ancient wonders and unforgettable impressions.

Of course, I was not a pioneer, and I planned my entire route in advance. I made several marks on the map of the most unusual places of the peninsula and a few days later I was already walking through the endless steppe in search of the first attraction - it was the valley of nodules.

Finding this place was not at all difficult, and after a few hours I was standing near the giant stone spheres that made my heart skip a beat.

Looking at the hundreds of nodules scattered across the steppe, it seemed that once upon a time, a giant child ran here and scattered beads made of stone blocks across the Kazakh steppe.

The size of nodules is from one meter to boulders of three or more meters

Of course, this is not so, but there are many legends and theories about the origin of the whole valley of nodules. Someone claims that they fell from heaven, someone says that it was mother nature and time that tried, others tell tales about the messages of ancient people. Anyway, the valley of nodules will not leave indifferent anyone who gets to the Mangyshlak Peninsula.
