Scientists told in the mass media how man influenced the flora and fauna of the Earth. According to researchers, in the complete absence of homo sapiens on the planet, the world would look completely different
The prestigious journal Nature has published the views of the world's leading researchers. In particular, the famous botanist Donald Waller notes that 300 million years ago, there was a strong and unchanging relationship between biological species. Moreover, various representatives of the fauna harmoniously and friendly interacted with each other for half of the existence of multicellular life on Earth. But, as the scientist writes in the publication Nature, over the past 6 thousand years, the balance of the relationship between nature (flora and fauna) has been disturbed by the intervention of homo sapiens.
A professor of botany at the University of Wisconsin Madison (USA) argues that rhinos and elephants could well live on the territory of modern Europe, if it were not for the vigorous activity of humans, who had an extremely negative impact on the diversity of the fauna of our planet. Due to the fact that there was an accelerated population of man, as a separate species, besides possessing consciousness, in the end this contributed to the mass destruction of representatives of the animal world.
