It's hard to believe, but a medieval atlas found in Istanbul depicts the mainland in bloom! The map of the Turkish general Piri Reis was found in 1929 in the Topkapi Sultan's palace.

For many years, scientists have tried unsuccessfully to find an explanation for the phenomenon of the Reis atlas and it seems that researchers from the UK have found a clue.
The Piri Reis map is a picture taken from space 20 thousand years ago. This is the conclusion reached by the British scientist Graham Hancock after many years of researching a medieval atlas. But how is this possible?
Graham Hancock was the first to notice the remarkable similarity between the Piri Reis map and Google's satellite imagery. After careful analysis, his assumption was confirmed by other scientists. The first thing that attracted Hancock was the unusually accurate outline of the mainland.

Surprisingly, computer analysis showed that the contours of the earth relative to the parallels and meridians are reflected with millimeter accuracy, and in fact such calculations in the 15th century are simply impossible.
Another proof that the age of the Reis sources goes back to antiquity was the very image of the mysterious continent, because the atlas shows Antarctica as a blooming oasis, and not a lifeless glacier. How could Piri Reis learn about what the continent looks like without an ice "cap"?

From the records found in the Topkapi palace it is known that Piri reis used several sources to create his work, and most of them belong to the era of Alexander the Great, i.e. by 4 c. BC, but he also mentions a certain ancient atlas of portulan (sea map with the designation of seaports). It looked like a badly burned piece of sturdy parchment with an incredibly accurate depiction of the southern seas and continents.
Despite its staggering size, Piri Reis' source of knowledge was not enough to create an exact copy of the priceless map. Reis made mistakes when transferring the 3D drawing.

But, if in the 15th century an experienced admiral-cartographer was unable to make a copy of an older atlas, then who created the original source? What civilization 20 thousand years ago was able to ascend to near-earth orbit and create a spherical image that fully meets all the laws of geometry? If you believe the official science, then such opportunities until the 60s. mankind did not have the last century.
According to historians, 20 thousand years ago people were at their initial level of development, which means that there is no need to talk about any space flights and the creation of spherical maps. However, Graham Hancock does not exclude that the oldest atlas is nothing more than another confirmation that our ancestors had contact with aliens, which means that the atlas donated by representatives of other planets and galaxies could become the original source of the Piri Reis map.
But according to the latest data, there are more than a thousand artifacts in the world that testify to a meeting with an alien civilization.
