For eight years, the police considered this criminal case to be a hangman
On Sunday morning, a tall man appeared in the duty unit of the third police department of Kemerovo:
- I killed a man in a hostel on Popov. I want to write a confession.
Mikhail got married, a year ago they had a daughter with Marina. But peace did not appear in the soul … The
duty officer raised an eyebrow in bewilderment: no signals were received from this address. In addition, the man himself looks polished, clean, does not look like a person who has just committed a crime.
- But I really killed! The girl. In October 2002, the man hastily explained.
A couple of minutes later, he was already writing a statement of sincere confession.
… Late in the evening of October 11, 2002, 21-year-old Mikhail Bulitsky * together with two school friends came to another friend's dorm at 5. Popova Street. In anticipation of a merry feast, the company had already bought vodka, but the owner was not at home. Without thinking twice, the guys sat down at the door of the locked room. They drank without snack, sipping straight from the throat.
At this time, 24-year-old Elena Markova was returning home - to the next room. The girl was tipsy and, seeing the tipsy young people, she spoke to them herself:
- Oh, guys, what are you doing here? Come to me, let's sit like a human!
… The alcohol ended quickly. And just as imperceptibly, the sweet conversation between Markova and Bulitsky turned into a quarrel. Word for word, because of some trifle, the guy and the girl fought so that Bulitsky, who lost his temper, grabbed a knife that turned up under his arm and thrust it into the mistress five times.
Friends were dumbfounded, slightly sobered, and then the whole company rushed away from the hostel.
A criminal case was initiated into the murder of Elena Markova. But the culprit was not found. And a year later, the deaf case was sent to the archive.
ATTACK OF THE SPIRITS
Mikhail began to drink at first. I tried to forget the picture: a knife in my own hands, a wheezing girl, blood. Friends did not go to the police either: they were afraid that they would be jailed for complicity.
And then the guy changed his life abruptly. I quit drinking, got a job at a construction company, where I received a good salary. Then he met Marina, with whom they got married in 2005.
The bride's relatives could not get enough of it: they got such a detailed guy as their son-in-law! The restrained smile of a happy newlywed, who drank mostly only juice at his own wedding, once again emphasized: their Marinka's husband is a serious person!
… And Bulitsky by that time already suffered from nightmares. Increasingly, in a dream, he began to see Elena. It will be seen as alive, then the bloody writhes in agony.
In 2009, a daughter was born to the Bulitskys. She grew up smart, cheerful - it would seem, to rejoice here and enjoy life, but Mikhail increasingly began to withdraw into himself. Besides, Bulitsky's deceased grandfather began to dream: “Repent and confess before it's too late. Then it will be worse!"
The man finally lost his peace of mind. Marina thought - insomnia, tried to give them sedatives. And he was just afraid to fall asleep.
And finally he went to the police.
ALMOST FREEDOM The
act of the Kemerovo resident of the police, to put it mildly, surprised. Having resumed the criminal case under the murder article, they did not even take a recognizance not to leave the guy. Released, consider, on parole. Take a walk - I don't want to, just come to the investigator at your first request.
Mikhail's wife still refuses to believe that her husband is a murderer. But it will apparently have to be done: both comrades who were with him that unfortunate evening and who were witnesses in the case confirm his words.
“I have already come across such a case when a suspect saw in a dream the image of a murdered man and finally confessed to what he had done,” says Sergei Zhilin, an investigator of the Investigative Committee for the city of Kemerovo under the Russian Prosecutor's Office for the Kemerovo Region. - Now Mikhail Bulitsky has to undergo a forensic psychiatric examination, which will determine the state of his mental health. In any case, at the court session, the positive characteristics of the suspect and the surrender will be taken into account when passing the sentence.
… Bulitsky himself says that both the victim and the reproachful grandfather stopped dreaming of him.

OF THE SPECIALIST Sergey ALEXANDROV, psychologist:
- This person, most likely, has a borderline state of mind. He is already ill, but not yet ill. He has a strong will and hyperresponsibility, and at the same time he is quite inspiring. Dreams are after all a reflection of reality. All the information accumulated over the past days is scrolled in them. And here is the murder, which turned out to be a shock for the guy. The offender always returns to the scene of the crime, if not in reality, then mentally - necessarily. Having instilled in himself the image of the girl he had killed, and trying to solve this problem on an unconscious level, Mikhail began to see the victim in his dreams. And then his grandfather, who, apparently, raised him rather severely in childhood. And the fear of him was strong, since the grandfather began to threaten him. Creating images of these two people in a dream, the guy thus tried to force himself to repent. And he succeeded.
A sincere confession is the best he could do in this situation. Continuing to drive the problem deep inside, Mikhail would sooner or later let slip all the same. And then he would have thundered into prison without a confession.
