The Sphinx presents many mysteries: in the past it could have wings, look a little different, but in this article I wanted to speculate about the hatch on the Sphinx's head, which became known only when it became possible to photograph from above.
Almost everyone knows the Egyptian Sphinx as a solid ancient statue, but the hatch casts doubt on the version of the wholeness and absence of rooms in the object.
But before that, I will immediately tell you about all the known versions, which are not confirmed by anything. The first of the main ones is the hat. Allegedly, in the past, the Sphinx had a hat and it was fixed on the so-called hatch.
In the 20th century, during the restoration, the hat was destroyed and a hatch remained - this is how one of the versions is described. But where are the remains of this hat? Where are the pictures with the hat, given that the Sphinx was already photographed in the 20th century?
Most importantly, I don't think the hat would have been fastened in any way thousands of years ago. The maximum that would be done is a monolithic headdress and fixed with mortar or in another way.

We figured out this version and I explained that it is not confirmed by anything at all, but rather, on the contrary, contradicts the facts.
There is a version that the hatch was created closer to our time in order to monitor the state of the sphinx inside and carry out some work. And this is quite plausible, if not for one BUT.
There is no official information anywhere that there is at least something inside the sphinx. In other words, there is no information about any premises in the sphinx. Although it is made of blocks, it is still believed that it was created in one piece and there is nothing inside.
And plus to everything that the first version, that the second, can be attributed to drawings from the 18th-19th centuries, where people descended into the head of the sphinx. One such artist is Dominique Vivant-Denon.
As a result, it turns out that both versions are not confirmed by anything and are rather even nonsense, since they contradict the rest of the facts, and then one main question arises - What is this hatch and where does it lead?
About this, as you might guess, nothing is known. Although, as I said, in principle, nothing is known about the hatch, let alone any possible premises inside.
Of course, you can recall the legends, supposedly under the sphinx the knowledge of the ancients is stored, but these are only versions that, even if they are real, the public will never know about it.
It is logical to assume that the Egyptian authorities and historians should know about the hatch and its purpose, but there is still no official information. The maximum there is are various images from above, which confirm the presence of an unknown hatch.
It seems to me that many have never even heard of this hatch, since the sphinx, although it is, in fact, in the center of attention, it continues to hide its mysteries.
