Once upon a time, 27-year-old Kristian Speake played football for the Welsh club Haverfordwest County.

But on February 10, 2018, someone suddenly attacked him on the street and Christian suffered a severe head injury.

After a hasty operation, doctors removed most of his skull and brain and the man's head looked like a bitten apple.

Christian spent 3 months in the hospital, where he was taught to walk again and where he also underwent two operations on his eyes, as his vision was also damaged.

And recently, doctors performed another operation on him and inserted a titanium plate into his skull to hide a frightening defect.

Speke reportedly recovered almost completely physically, but whether he had significant problems with thinking or other brain functions has not been indicated in the press.

Christian says that if it were not for the daily support of the hospital staff and doctors, he would be very bad. He is sure that he owes his life to them and that he would not be here if not for their dedication and patience.
