Video: Past, present and future coexist. 'Now time' explained easy. 2024, October

Imagine that time has stood still. All life around you froze. Only you can feel the movement of time through you. What will this moment be for you? Past, present or future. In fact, you will be surprised to know the answer.

Let's come back to the example above a little later. In the meantime, let's try to come to an answer gradually.

How do we imagine time? Someone perceives it as a linear unit, and someone perceives time as a spiral. But perhaps in this case both are wrong. Time is not linear and does not spiral. After all, if time moves in a spiral, then at each moment of time there is a neighboring loop where we could slip through. This is impossible. The past is invariable because no matter what you do there has already happened, and the future is constantly changing depending on what decisions we make.

Based on the above, you would probably reasonably say: "Apparently the Future does not exist." And they would have been … wrong. The future even exists. In fact, there is an infinite number of "future". As you understand, any of your actions creates at least two variations of the future.

So let's remember the "Future" exists.

What about the past? For us, the past is some kind of absolutely incomprehensible unit. Now you drank a cup of coffee and that's it, it's the past. But what does this mean? Stephen King has a novel, 4 Hours After Midnight. There the past was swallowed up by the so-called Langoliers. But Stephen King was wrong. The past stretches indefinitely until the beginning of the universe. And no, I was not mistaken in terminology. From the point of view of physicists, time is an inseparable parameter from space. The structure of time and space in cosmology has been woven into the term space-time. And everything that we can observe in the sky has already happened. The stars come on and off. And we will find out about this only after many years.

And so we decided that the "Past" exists.

Only the present remains. So why doesn't it exist? Think the past comes at the very moment when you did something, and the future, in the form of consequences, comes at the very moment when the past becomes such. The moment that we consider to be the present is only the line between the past and the future.

Let's go back to the first example. What time will you live in? The answer is actually simple, you will live in the past because the consequences of your decision will never come.

How do you, my dear readers, such a theory? Do you find it believable? Let us know your opinion in the comments. It will be very interesting for me to read them.
