They are called Chinese, although in fact, similar mirrors were found in Japan and in Russia - for example, in the Urals. It is believed that they were made in the second millennium BC, although they may be more ancient. It was not possible to find out the technology of their manufacture.
These mirrors are well known to archaeologists and lovers of ancient artifacts, but few people know that they have a mysterious optical effect. If they catch a ray of the sun, then a drawing will appear in its reflection, applied to the mirror. At the same time, it becomes three-dimensional, that is, it is a kind of 3D cinema from ancient times. But the most amazing thing is that the picture is reflected not from the side that reflects the sun's rays, but from the back of the mirrors! That is, it becomes, as it were, transparent. So far, no one has managed to intelligibly explain this effect.
I found on the Internet photographs of numerous Chinese mirrors kept in museums and collectors, but, most likely, these curators are not even aware of the strange properties of the artifacts in their possession. However, it is possible that some of them are a later fake that does not have magical properties. I will add that Chinese mirrors have been studied very little. And it seems to me personally that they have some other properties that we do not know about - perhaps this is some kind of technological device left over from ancient civilizations. And note that some of the drawings on the mirrors are quite difficult to define - what exactly is depicted there.
