Family members living in Zimbabwe say they have been tortured by mysterious fires that continually break out in their home, including the recent and strangest fire ever caused by a burning egg.
Philip Hlabati, who lives in the city of Gweru, said the first incident took place back in 2013, and there have been many more unexplained fires in the past three years.
The most recent fire especially puzzled the inhabitants of the house. According to the head of the family, on the morning of September 1, 2016, a spotted egg was found under the bed. It seemed very strange, since the family does not keep chickens in the yard. Shortly thereafter, the bed caught fire and the fire destroyed most of the bedroom, as well as other areas in the house.
However, the strangeness of this story, said Philip Chlabati, that after the fire started, some people saw an egg falling from the roof with a note attached to it: "You will suffer." Unfortunately, during the subsequent search it was impossible to find the ominous note and the egg.
“I don't know what's going on,” Hlabati said. "It's a mystery for us, we urgently need help."
For their part, the firefighters of the city of Gweru are also concerned about what is happening at the Hlabati house.
“At first we thought the fires were caused by faulty wiring or some other negligence, but this is not the case. Electricity has nothing to do with it. We are completely unclear about the cause of the fires, - admitted the head of the fire department. "We see strange things happening in this house, and after that there are the same strange fires."
Something is wrong here. No one can explain the origin of these fires. We're all confused,”said a city official.
