Specialists of the research association "Kosmopoisk" analyzed the observations of unexplained phenomena over the past century and found out where the anomalies were most common.

According to scientists, the most mysterious Russian city is Chebarkul (Chelyabinsk region), which became famous, first of all, thanks to a meteorite that fell into a local lake.

Recall that on February 15, 2013, residents of the Chelyabinsk Region observed a bright flash, then a long white trail in the sky, and after a few seconds they heard a strong roar and felt tremors. Eyewitnesses are still arguing whether the celestial body crashed itself or was "shot down" by a UFO.

In the same area, traces of ancient metallurgy were found, although it is officially believed that metallurgy on the territory of the Chelyabinsk region appeared only at the beginning of the 20th century. Also, according to the researchers, not far from Chebarkul, on the Zyuratkul ridge, an ancient geoglyph in the form of an elk was discovered, which is still considered the largest in the world.

The second place in the rating was taken by Zhirnovsk (Volgograd region), or as it is popularly called - the "capital of UFOs" of Russia. According to scientists, it is here that the largest number of flying objects of extraterrestrial origin have been observed over the past 10 years. Also in this area is the famous Medveditskaya ridge, shrouded in mysticism and ancient legends.

According to local residents, once upon a time there lived giant people more than two meters tall. Also, representatives of "Cosmopoisk" noted that in this area the highest activity of ball lightning is observed.

In third place on the list is the village of Vanavara (Krasnoyarsk Territory), which became famous for being the closest settlement to the place where the famous Tunguska meteorite fell in 1908. According to eyewitnesses, the shock wave from the fall of the celestial body was so strong that it injured most of the inhabitants of the village. Until now, anomalous phenomena are observed in this territory.

The rating also includes another city of the Chelyabinsk region - Kyshtym, which became famous thanks to a dwarf named Aleshenka.

The body of a small mysterious creature was made public in 1996. According to experts, this is the first and so far the only creature unknown to science that fell into the hands of scientists. Subsequently, the body was stolen, so the further fate of the Kyshtym dwarf is not known.

The Kosmopoisk researchers claim that traces of other dwarfs have been found in this area, which suggests that Alyoshenka was not alone. To find them, scientists are organizing an expedition in July 2015.

The five most mysterious places in Russia are closed by the village of Korenevo in the Kaluga region. This settlement was marked by the largest meteorite of the late twentieth century, which, like its predecessor, the Tunguska meteorite, left a huge trail with trees felled around. This is the first meteorite to be found and studied by scientists.

The heavenly body was completely composed of ice. According to local residents, a few years before the incident, “local Vanga” predicted that “after her death, the region will become famous for a“gift from heaven”.

- Judging by our observations, the Ural cities turned out to be the most mysterious. I cannot say for sure why it is in this region that abnormal phenomena are most often observed. The Ural ridge has always been shrouded in mystery. The findings and facts speak for themselves, - said Vadim Chernobrov, head of the Cosmopoisk ONIO.
