According to doctors in a new article, the patient had been injecting semen into his arm veins for 18 months. After some time, he finally turned to specialists for help, but he did not complain at all about his hand. On the contrary, he felt "a sudden sharp pain in the back", three days before, he had picked up a heavy object. His unusual method of treatment was revealed by accident - during the examination, the doctors noticed a patch of edema on the right forearm, and the man confessed to his regular practice. He bought hypodermic needles online. However, the last time he injected himself with three doses of sperm, hitting small blood vessels and muscles.
Irish doctors write that this is "the world's first recorded use of sperm injection as a medical treatment." As a result of frequent injections, air accumulated under the skin of a person, and the area of swollen tissue increased over time. After intravenous antimicrobial therapy, the back pain disappeared and the man was discharged.
