The US National Archives has released 10,744 more FBI documents in the November 1963 assassination of the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, WBay reported on Friday, November 17. The content of the documents has not been specified.
It is noted that over 8.3 thousand records were made public in full, another 2.4 thousand - with seizure. 144 documents were published for the first time.
This is the fifth publication of documents. Earlier, employees of the National Archives released a total of more than 20.5 thousand documents related to the assassination of Kennedy.
On October 26, US President Donald Trump signed a memorandum on the publication of nearly three thousand unknown documents on the assassination of John F. Kennedy. At the same time, he stressed that not all documents will be made public, explaining this by a request from federal agencies and departments to give them time until April 26, 2018 for additional familiarization with the materials. Later, he promised to publish all documents, except for those that mention the names and addresses of people still alive.
John F. Kennedy led the United States for just over two years and was fatally wounded during a trip to Dallas on November 22, 1963. According to the official version, his killer was a loner named Lee Harvey Oswald, who shot at the president with a sniper rifle from a long distance. The circumstances of the president's death are still controversial.
