The "comet" described by the British astronomer William Frederick Denning in 1881 was hardly a comet, say modern researchers who are confident that the Briton witnessed a UFO.

“This object could not be a comet, because the trajectory of its motion is simply impossible, as for a natural celestial body. The features of the "comet" movement, which Denning recorded when he observed it, indicate that it is some kind of alien ship. We simply have no other options,”the scientists say.

William Denning himself also guessed that something was wrong with the "comet" he was watching.

“Yes, a comet cannot move like this! This is some kind of meaningful trajectory! Or am I missing something? Maybe scientists who will live in a hundred years will be able to figure it out? Everything must be carefully written down,”Denning once wrote.

Scientists, which is typical, have not been able to figure it out. That is, they, of course, assume that Denning saw some kind of UFO, but what exactly this object was is unknown.

Interestingly, Denning's "comet" never returned to the Sun, although, as expected, it should have done so. In general, it was definitely an alien ship.
