The Third Reich was in an eternal search for superpowers and superpowers - both in our world and beyond. One such area was the Doctrine of Eternal Ice: the search for truth in space.
In mid-1925, the hitherto unknown engineer Hans Gerbiger sent a lengthy message to all universities: “The choice must be made now: with us or against us! While Hitler will purge politics, Hans Gerbiger will wipe out all false science from the face of the earth. The doctrine of eternal ice will be a sign of the rebirth of the German people. Who could have known that this was the beginning of the odious Doctrine of Eternal Ice, which delighted the Fuhrer himself, who decided to look for truth on distant planets.
World ice
Herbiger completely groundlessly based his theory on the eternal struggle between two principles, ice and flame. For some reason, the engineer believed that the forces of attraction and repulsion permeate the entire system of the Universe.
The beginning of the world

The process of the formation of our world was not lost either. Gerbiger talked about the hypothetical existence of some huge fiery body, much larger than the Sun. And suddenly, out of nowhere, another body flew into this body, this time consisting of ice. The ice planet made its way into the very depths of the red-hot celestial body, which led to the explosion of the latter. Fragments of the Super Sun scattered throughout the Universe, turning into other planets, satellites, asteroids and comets. The star shrank and became our Sun.
Dozens of planets in the sky
And that is not all. Gerbiger claimed that initially there were as many as thirty planets in our system. Most of them were unlucky enough to be close to the Sun, which eventually swallowed them. The spots on the Sun were explained by the fall of these ancient planets.
Ice worlds
Gerbiger, and after him the entire "enlightened" German public, believed that all the planets in the Universe (including the Earth) originally consisted only of ice. We were lucky, because a particle of the ancient Super Sun hit the center of the Earth, melted the ice, and thereby initiated the origin of life. The Milky Way in this strange system of the world was only explained as tiny particles of ice dangling on the outskirts of the solar system.
Killer moons
Particular attention was paid to the moons in the theory of Eternal Ice. Yes, you heard right: Gerbiger believed that three moons had already fallen on Earth in ancient times. Each in this way completed the cycle of the evolutionary development of biological species: the first moon destroyed the dinosaurs, the second almost destroyed some primitive people, giants with psychophysical abilities.
Golden age
Almost - because some of the giants survived. When the era of the third moon came to an end, they rose to the surface and transferred their knowledge to people. Gerbiger believed that this was the main era of mankind, the heyday of our civilization. It all ended again with the fall of the moon and the Flood.
NSDAP and ice
In 1925, Gerbiger's antiscientific theory also flourished. The fact is that the cunning cosmologist also bogged down people in his work: the Nordic Aryans, according to Gerbiger, were the tribes of those who received the ancient knowledge of the ancestors. All the rest were declared the primordial opponents of the "real Aryans", which means they were subject to destruction. Of course, in those days, a completely delusional theory entered the Aryans of the Third Reich as their own.
Searches in the sky
The Gerbiger doctrine began to be taught in schools as a compulsory subject. Particular attention to the Theory of Eternal Ice was given by the employees of the infamous Ahnenerbe: taking the inventions of a homegrown scientist at face value, the Germans sent ethnographic and archaeological expeditions around the world. A special branch of this organization was looking for evidence of the doctrine in the sky - they classified the passing meteorites, trying to understand which planet they belonged to before.
Our days
Interest in the completely delusional teachings of Gerbiger among the Germans faded away already at the end of the lost war. But today the doctrine of the Eternal Ice has adherents all over the world: people are quite confident in the inexorable attraction of cosmic bodies and look anxiously at the heavens, expecting whether the Moon will fall to Earth for the fourth time.
