Artificial intelligence and the coexistence of a person with him in the same society is not science fiction: in two or three years it will become a common occurrence in the house, and some types of work are already confidently performing instead of a person. The developers of Japanese robots told RIA Novosti that call center operators, information desk staff, and concierges in homes and hotels will lose their current jobs in the foreseeable future.
The head of the development department of the Japanese robot Parlo of FujiSoft Incorporated, Naoki Sugimoto, said that the use of artificial intelligence in modern life "will only expand." For example, robots can help older people train cognitive functions.
“As communication decreases, mental capacity decreases and brain activity decreases. When a person talks, his brain begins to work actively. In Japan, it will take another two or three years to improve legislation and other procedures, so that a robot with artificial intelligence becomes commonplace at home,”the expert said.
Sugimoto is confident that replacing humans with robots in a number of areas is a reality, but admits that he does not like the expression "take the job". In his opinion, in such areas as office work, data processing, replacement of a person with artificial intelligence will occur the fastest.
“At the same time, where a person comes into contact with a person, it cannot be replaced by a robot,” the developer said. “For example, this interview. The robot does not know how to ask such questions, and I would not be able to answer the questions of the robot. I think that interviewers cannot be replaced with artificial intelligence. The interviewer must remain human. But where a person deals with data, with their processing - this will be done by a robot, I think,”the expert made a forecast.
As if in confirmation of Naoki Sugimoto's words, a number of companies presented their developments that will allow artificial intelligence to replace call center operators, information desk or reception staff, concierges in homes and hotels. Almost all of these developments are either already in use or will go on sale in the very near future. So, the development of the company alt=Technologies Inc. will allow leaving only five out of 100 call center operators, and the work of the remaining 95 people will be successfully performed by artificial intelligence.
“Artificial intelligence is able to identify a question with previously asked questions and choose the most appropriate answer from previous analogs. Answers can be in writing or orally. Moreover, this system can be used in different languages, for example, by companies with offices in different countries. But our goal is not to stop using a person to answer queries. For example, in banks and in other cases, when a technical error can lead to serious consequences, one cannot do without the use of a person.
