The Slavs considered winter to be a vague and dark time. However, our ancestors understood: the main power of Darkness is human fear. And they also knew: every god or goddess has different hypostases. So even in difficult times, one should not panic and hide: one must negotiate with the Higher Forces, ask them for help, protection, for the benefit for oneself and one's loved ones.

NIGHT GUEST

The Slavs considered the beginning of winter to be Marena Day - November 15. In general, Marena is the goddess of death. But we must not forget that the other side of death is rebirth. Moreover, death (in a broad sense) is not always a problem. In her fire you can burn grievances and sorrows, illnesses and bad memories, in short, everything that interferes with your happiness and well-being.

By the way, Marena is usually represented as a decrepit old woman. But this is her last, third hypostasis - this is how our ancestors saw her on the eve of spring, this is how she was escorted back to the world of Navi. November Marena is a young maiden who is not inferior to the attractiveness of Lele or Lada. Virgo Marena is a beautiful black-eyed brunette in white robes with long flowing hair. It was to her on the night of November 15 that they made offerings - so that throughout the winter the goddess was indulgent.

If you have your own home, as soon as it gets dark, place a vase of white flowers, a glass of white wine, and a ceramic bowl of treats (gingerbread or DIY baked pies) on your porch. Those who live in an apartment need to place an offering at the threshold of the front door from the inside.

Early in the morning, if the ground is still frozen, bury the flowers under a sturdy tree. If nature does not already allow this, just put them next to. Crumble the treat, and pour out the wine towards the West.

FAREWELL "BOSTER"

On the days from 15 to 22 November, no matter what gods you turn to, only Marena will hear. So it is better to carry out the rituals that you initially dedicate to this goddess.

Marena is able to make life much easier by taking away diseases, sorrows, bad memories, and failures. Think about what you would like to get rid of? From the 15th to the 22nd, there is a chance to get rid of any problems. But keep in mind: each ceremony should be dedicated to a specific purpose. So if there are too many troubles, identify the 7 main ones that hinder your life the most. For example, one of Mara's evenings you say goodbye to lack of money. In another - with grievances. Or maybe certain character traits are hindering you - hot temper, self-doubt, or suspicion? In a word, think carefully, and every evening until November 22 inclusive, you can conduct rituals aimed at releasing any negativity.

Set your goal on a piece of paper in advance. Towards midnight, cover the table with a white tablecloth, put a black hour candle in the center, and a metal bowl in front of it. Light a candle, take a sheet of paper with your left hand and mentally ask Marena to save you from the problem. Now bring the leaf to the candle flame and light it. Place the burning paper in a bowl. While the candle burns out, remain silent and visualize how letting go of a particular problem changes your life for the better. Then blow the ash downwind.

LOVE WITHOUT PINK GLASSES

It is believed that help in matters of the heart can only be expected from Lelia or Lada. However, young (November) Marena is able to attract love. Just keep in mind: you run the risk of quickly becoming disappointed in your companion. Because Marena is a tough goddess, although fair. And he is not going to embellish anything. Therefore, before carrying out the ritual, think and write what negative traits of your man's character you are willing to put up with. And then proceed to describe its positive qualities. Do you agree that a spouse may not be particularly successful? Too much time to devote to your parents? Little interest in raising children? What about cheating? Leni? Addicted to alcohol or gambling? Make two lists. In "black" enter the qualities that are unacceptable to you. Light this leaf at night and spread the ash in the wind. Dedicate the next evening to the main ceremony. Put a red hour candle on the table, put a sheet of paper and an envelope in front of you without stamps, drawings and inscriptions. You have already listed the weaknesses of your potential companion with whom you are ready to live. Now get down to the nice part: write about its positives. Fold the piece of paper in four, place it in an envelope and seal it with candle wax, then put it away in a secret place.
