Video: RARE COLOR VIDEO OF THE WORLDS TALLEST MAN ROBERT WADLOW 2024, April
Anonim

American Robert Wadlow is considered the tallest man ever known in history. Due to a pituitary tumor and acromegaly, Wadlow grew throughout his short life (22 years) and at the time of death reached a height of 272 cm.

Born in 1918, Wadlow died in 1940, leaving behind mostly black and white photographs. But recently, a rare and very impressive color video was posted on the network in which the giant Wadlow walks among people of ordinary height.

This video, taken in the 1930s, was thought to have been lost long ago, but luckily it was recently recovered.

Wadlow began to grow up very quickly almost from birth. When he was 8 years old, he was already equal in height to his father, and at 13 years old with a height of 220 cm he became the tallest boy scout in the world. When he graduated from school at the age of 18, he reached 254 cm.

Due to his size, it was impossible for him to buy clothes and shoes in ordinary stores, and his family even ordered furniture especially for him. By the way, Wadlow had two sisters and two brothers, but they were all of normal height.

By the time he graduated from school, Wadlow was already a world celebrity and began performing in circuses in the United States and Europe. He was given the nickname "Good Giant", everyone adored him and Wadlow himself was also a very joyful and open person.

His health deteriorated rapidly, but Wadlow refused to use a wheelchair and preferred to walk on his own. But soon he needed crutches, and on July 4, 1940, he rubbed his leg badly and an infection entered the wound.

Treatment and even a blood transfusion did not help him, and on July 15 the "kind giant" died. Neither before, nor after him, history has not known confirmed cases of the existence of people of such huge growth.
