This story was told to me by my friend Yuri R. at the very beginning of perestroika. He asked not to give his last name. After graduating from Moscow State University, in accordance with the legislation that existed at that time, he was solemnly presented with officer shoulder straps, and Yuri had to vigilantly guard the northern borders of the USSR for three years.

At that time, a rarefied chain of radar stations stretched along the coast of the Arctic Ocean. People lived on them like on a desert island - for several months a year, completely cut off from the mainland.

Unexpected guest

It was hard to find the best place for the first visit of aliens to Earth. The officers, who have gone mad from months of loneliness, would gladly go to communicate with any thinking creature. And the mysterious midnight visit of the aliens took place - forty years ago.

After the next shift, Yura could not fall asleep. He lay in his room and read a book. Finally, he bored him. The young man put the book aside and turned off the table lamp. At the same moment, the shutter of the window leaf broke with a bang, and it swung open. The room smelled like a cold wind.

When Yura's eyes got used to the semi-darkness, he noticed a silhouette that appeared in the chair in the corner. The midnight visitor amazed the officer with his strange appearance. Most of all he looked like Bigfoot. The newcomer was naked and covered from head to toe with fluffy hair. Only the face of the midnight guest remained free from her, on which his eyes shone with a slightly reddish light.

Cosmosogi on Earth

The long, hour and a half conversation took place in almost complete darkness. From it, Yura learned that an alien, or, as he called himself, a cosmosog "flew" into his room. The whole Universe is the homeland for the cosmos. And this is not surprising. They can fly at the speed of light, transform into anything: not only living creatures, but also air, clouds, stones … And cosmosogs can also influence the climate of planets and the development of intelligent beings living on them.

According to the alien, the cosmosogs are "dying out." Once upon a time there were several hundred of them on Earth, but only seven cosmic beings remained. People were indirectly guilty of their death. Cosmosogs do not age, are not susceptible to disease, and are practically immortal. But it is not very interesting for an intelligent creature to live, being dissolved in air or turned into stone.

Therefore, the cosmosogs periodically turned into living beings. They especially liked becoming people with the most developed senses in the part of the universe known to them. The temptation to become human is great, but the danger of this transformation is also great. In human form, the cosmogues became vulnerable to accidents and diseases.

Amazing people

At the end of the conversation, Yura asked: why, in fact, did the night guest come to him?

It turned out that the reason was quite serious. Despite their small numbers, the cosmosogs are trying to influence the development of the Earth's civilization. This has been done for several thousand years.

According to the cosmologists, there are people on our planet who have an amazing property: they are able to influence key moments in the history of mankind. Moreover, these people do not necessarily have to be major statesmen, famous scientists or great artists and writers. On the contrary, more often they are completely ordinary people. That is why the cosmosog appeared in the officer's room.

Yura must receive the gift of foresight from the cosmos. For this, a program will be put into it, which will allow concentrating internal energy on some fact or question. Such concentration will also allow "pulling on" the correct answer to any question, foreseeing a future event and determining in which cases it is necessary to apply the "gift" of the cosmos: to solve global problems or everyday problems that a person faces every day.

The officer hesitated a little and … agreed. Kosmosog asked him to close his eyes for a few minutes. When he opened his eyes, he saw that the chair in front of him was empty.

Who needs answers ?

After the disappearance of the midnight guest, Yura asked himself questions several times - and each time he received accurate answers. The questions were very different: both abstract and very specific. For example, at the very beginning of perestroika, he first wanted to know what the emerging economic, social and other problems were connected with. Then he asked how much the loaf would cost in 1995.

He received the following answers to both questions. What is happening in Russia is carefully programmed. The main goal is to mobilize the country's population, to bring it out of the torpor in which it has been for 70 years. Only in this way will Russia be able to reach a new level of its development. And you don't have to worry about bread: its price will hardly change and will depend not on the economy, but on the place where the loaf was bought.

After returning from military service, Yura tried to use his gift to alleviate the situation in the country, but quickly stopped his attempts. For example, a year before the start of the war in Chechnya, he gave what is called "by authority" when the conflict would begin, where the main bases of the Chechens would be located, and how its first phase would end. But this information, judging by the events that took place in Chechnya, was lost somewhere …

Yuri tried to convey his predictions about the causes of the collapse of the geological industry in the near future and the locations of large deposits to the heads of one academic institute. But after learning how Yura received such interesting and promising information, they only laughed at him.

The secret of luck

But in his personal life, a sense of foresight helped Yura a lot. He went to work in one of the private construction companies. But in it, the man no longer advertised how he makes decisions that bring good profit every time. Our mutual acquaintances were amazed at how easily and successfully he solved the financial problems of the company. They were especially amazed at how without any problems and bribes Yura received lucrative orders.

Having learned about the prosperity of an old friend, I, of course, asked him to help me cope with my financial difficulties. Yura looked at me sympathetically and said with regret that he would be glad to help, but it is worth a lot.

- Why, - I was surprised, - we are old friends.

The fact is that after each foresight, Yura completely breaks down for a week, and sometimes for two (once even a month). But, remembering the joint geological work in the deserts, he could not stand it. - What are you doing now? Using satellite imagery to search for groundwater in deserts? I will lead you to a profitable foreign, Arabian project. But you should assemble a working team of specialists yourself.

By the end of the week, the necessary, in my opinion, work collective was assembled.

The work - interesting and very well, for those times, paid - was done. Before handing it over to the customer, despite Yura's belief in her high level, based on his unique foresight abilities, I decided to check the results.

To do this, I took topographic maps of the territory in which we had to find deposits of fresh groundwater, a tracing paper with the results of our work, and went to the Association for Engineering Biolocation, whose president, Grigory Khlopkov, I knew well.

After listening carefully to me. Khlopkov called one of the most experienced biolocation operators, Nikolai Alexandrov, and asked him to mark fresh water deposits on topographic maps.

Taking the topographic maps I had brought, Aleksandrov went into another room. In about 20 minutes he returned. Six neat little circles were drawn on the topographic maps.

- Wells need to be drilled in the center of the circles to supply the villages with fresh water.

I overlaid the tracing papers I brought with the contours of four fresh water deposits, which were identified during three months of shock work by our group. In the centers of the four fields we identified, the dowsing operator plotted the locations where fresh water wells should be drilled to provide the village with water. In addition to them, two more places were noted where you can also get water.

It turns out that the cosmosogue about which Yura told me did not dream of him, but really existed?
