An 11-year-old boy, arrested in Washington state after he came to school with a pistol, cartridges and knives, admitted that he did so at the behest of the "voices" he heard in his head. This was reported on October 24 by Reuters with reference to the police.

According to the student, the voices told him to shoot other students. In particular, they ordered him to shoot one of the students in the hand, who called his friend gay, and then to commit suicide with a shot in the head.

On October 24, 2013, the student's case was reviewed by the juvenile court, and the charge of attempted murder was dropped. The boy is currently in custody.

The boy was arrested the day before, October 23, 2013, at a school in Vancouver, Washington state. A pistol, 400 rounds of rounds and several kitchen knives were found in his pockets and in his backpack. According to KING5 TV channel, the school guard decided to search the boy after the student's mother called the school and warned that kitchen knives had disappeared from the house.

After discovering the boy's weapon, the school was closed for two hours. The schoolboy did not have time to harm anyone.

Such incidents often occur in American schools. For example, on October 23, 2013 in Massachusetts, a 14-year-old schoolboy beat to death a 25-year-old math teacher. Earlier, on October 21, 2013, in the state of Nevada, a student shot a teacher and wounded two more people, after which he shot himself.
