Horror in Canadian style: he takes his feet to the shore in sneakers
British Columbia police in the Vancouver area of southwestern Canada are racking their brains over a mystery dating back to last August when the first male right foot wearing a sports boot was found in the waters of the Georgia Strait. Then, according to the London Independent, in the same area on a stretch of coastline about 100 km long, two more right male feet and one right female were found. And all - in sports shoes.
On June 16, two breeders noticed another foot - a man's, in a slipper, but this time on the left, and called the police. Thus, over the past 11 months, a total of five human feet have washed up on the seashore, and all of them, as the newspaper notes, seem to have detached from the rest of the leg without outside interference, which may indicate a long stay of victims under water.
Investigating mysterious phenomena with a clear criminal connotation, the police are still only making assumptions about the possible origin of the parts.
Investigators do not exclude that the finds may occur as a result of an emergency at sea. But, they say, it could be the work of a maniac "fixated" on human feet, or executions carried out by a local mafioso, when victims are thrown overboard with a cement "shoe" on one leg.
The remaining human flesh in the shoes is now being fought by forensic doctors in an attempt to extract DNA and study bones, which could shed light on the reasons for the death of these people.
In general, as experts note, it is not so uncommon when human hands, heads and feet are washed on the ocean coast.
But there are too many coincidences and oddities in this particular case, which suggests the idea of deliberate crimes.
In Vancouver, there is only talk now that about the terrible finds on the coast and the possible reasons for the death of those unfortunate people to whom they belonged.
