Each new century gives humanity answers to the questions that tormented people of past centuries. True, he also puts new ones, even more complex ones. But one of the most intriguing questions - is there life after death - remains unanswered.

Sensational message

The invention of various transmitting and storage devices not only allowed humanity to reach a new level of development, but also, it would seem, destroyed the wall separating the living from the world of the dead. Back in 1895, the inventors Guglielmo Marconi and Thomas Edison predicted: the time will come when humanity will be able to come into contact with the dead, those who have gone to another world will find a way to communicate with the living using radio waves.

From the beginning of the twentieth century, notes began to appear in newspapers that sometimes Morse apparatus spontaneously tapped out signals warning of impending disasters. But such relatively rare cases were perceived by the reading public as curiosities. Therefore, the news that with the help of a tape recorder it is possible to record the voices of the dead, which appeared in newspapers in the middle of the 20th century, became a sensation.

Friedrich, you are being watched

The idea of recording the voices of spirits on tape belongs to a certain Drayton Thomas. At first, he assumed that his tape recorder accidentally recorded scraps of radio broadcasts, but, after carefully listening to the tape, he recognized the voice of his deceased father.

Usually this discovery is associated with the name of the opera singer from Sweden Friedrich Jurgenson. In 1959 he recorded the singing of birds in the forest on a cassette. At home, having listened to the tape, the singer, along with bird trills, heard a man's voice, who clearly pronounced in Norwegian the phrase about “bird voices of the night”. But Jurgenson was alone at the time of recording! Amazed, he made several more notes in the forest. One of them sounded the voice of his deceased mother: "Friedrich, you are being watched!"

Jurgenson analyzed the records and found several interesting features. The Invisibles spoke different languages, often switching from one language to another in the middle of a phrase. There were many mistakes in the structure of sentences, stressing, division into syllables. The rate of speech was constantly changing.

Jurgenson wrote and published in 1964 the book "Voices of the Universe", and three years later another - "Radio Contact with the Dead." They made a real sensation.

Ten years later

About ten years passed, and the Latvian professor, a student of Jurgenson, Konstantin Raudiv, presented to the public new films with mystical voices. On the tapes, voices were heard that spoke mainly Latvian, German and French. Most scientists were convinced that these were accidentally captured radio waves. An experiment in March 1971 helped to resolve doubts.

Engineers put special equipment in the studio to block any penetration of radio waves. The experiment used the best samples of the then existing equipment and high-quality magnetic film. Raudive used one recorder, while another, connected and synchronized with it, served as a control. The third apparatus, synchronized with Raudive's tape recorder, recorded all the sounds in the studio. The recording of "the voices of Raudive" lasted 18 minutes, and none of those present heard a single unusual sound in the studio. But by putting the tape recorder on playback, scientists discovered more than a hundred different voices on the tape. The experts were stunned. The control apparatus did not record anything.

- It's impossible! - the English engineer, who headed the inspection commission, threw up his hands.

Lazy spirits

In the United States, the brothers Joseph and Michael Lamoreau from Washington state were engaged in research on mysterious voices. They managed to explain the pronunciation defects, which Jurgenson had already noticed.

“We realized,” Joseph Lamoreau told reporters, “that the owners of voices can change the audible noises and sounds in the room and convert them into speech.

It turned out that it is easier for spirits to use the energy of already sounding words, transforming it, than to pronounce something themselves.

Weak bell

Often in the newspapers of different countries there are messages about phone calls from the other world. Most telephone conversations take place between people who have had a close emotional bond during their lifetime. As a rule, voices from the other world are caused by a desire to warn loved ones about danger or to tell them something very important.

For example, the father of actress Ida Lupino died in London during the Second World War without leaving a will. He called his daughter six months after his death and told him where to look for the necessary documents.

People who were called from the other world reported that the voices of the dead sound the same as in life. The phone rang as usual, although sometimes a little sluggishly. In most cases, the connection with such calls was poor. In many cases, the voice of the dead could be heard with difficulty, and in the course of the conversation it became quieter and quieter …

Feedback was very rare: when the initiator of the call was a live one. One woman, let's call her N., dreamed that her friend, whom she had not seen for a long time, was lying in a pool of blood. In the morning N. called her friend, and she said that she was in the hospital, but now she was discharged and in a few days it would be possible to come to her. When N. accepted the invitation, her friend suddenly became nervous, said that she would call back later, and hung up. Without waiting for a call back, N. called herself. She was answered by her friend's relatives and told that she had died six months ago.

Communication on TV

But now the time has come for communication with the dead with the help of televisions and computers. In 1987, Maggie and Jules Harsch-Fischbach from Luxembourg, with the help of special equipment, received a clear image of a deceased person on a television screen. And a year later, Maggie managed to communicate with her late friend through a computer.

And this is what the American weekly The Weekly World News wrote about. Over the course of seven months, Phil Schraver, a 56-year-old electronics specialist from Oklahoma, repeatedly spoke with his dear dead: his wife and daughter. During each such conversation, he saw both of them on the color TV screen and heard their voices.

For two years, Schraver struggled unsuccessfully to create a fundamentally new television antenna. In July 1990, a prototype was manufactured. Schraver plugged the antenna into the TV, and a blurry image of the girl appeared on the screen. The inventor was taken aback, because he recognized in the image on the screen his own daughter Karin, who died in 1986. A couple of days later, when Schraver tried the antenna again, Alicia, his long-dead wife, appeared on the screen. Schraver recognized her voice, though the words drowned out the interference.

Phil Schraver knew that the faces of his daughter and wife would appear on the TV screen. All other images of the dead people “moving into televisions” arose quite by accident.

Step to solve the problem

Russians also faced the world of the dead appearing on the TV screen.

“It happened on February 6, 1990,” said E. Nikiforova from Novorossiysk. - I watched the "Time" program on TV. Suddenly the screen was covered with stripes, and then a man's face appeared on it in a haze. It was motionless, something like a photograph. I looked at him and screamed in horror. My brother Misha, who died in 1985, was staring at me from the screen. A few seconds later, stripes ran across the screen again, and then the TV set to show the Time program again.

It would seem that the examples given indicate that the world of the dead exists. But it's not that simple. Some researchers of anomalous phenomena believe that it is possible to give a different explanation for all these phenomena. The voices and images on the TV screen do not belong to the world of the dead. They are information imprinted in the brains of living people.

At a subconscious level, it is psychokinetically transmitted to a tape recorder, a TV screen or a telephone membrane. The fact that this information can indeed be stored in the brains of the living is confirmed by the fact that voice recording does not occur if the equipment is operating in an empty room. People must be present! Therefore, all the examples given should be considered as another step towards solving the question of whether there is life after death.
