These are the most famous of the geoglyphs found on the Nazca plateau in Peru. But few people know that there are no less mysterious lines on the territory of the former USSR.

The discoverer of the mysterious lines that form the quarter markings in the forests of Udmurtia was the design engineer Alexei Artemyev from Izhevsk. He found out that the glades in the forests are visible only from a sufficiently high height, on the ground they are almost indistinguishable, as they are overgrown with bushes.

There are no access roads, and in general, there are no traces of the activities of the leshozes and forestries. Data on the production of work of this magnitude could not be found. In addition, the measurements of the quarters gave an amazing result. It turns out that each side of the quarter is equal to 1067 plus or minus 2 meters, but this is nothing but the RUSSIAN VERSTA!

As you know, under the USSR, the SI measurement system was already used, i.e. the distance was measured in meters and kilometers, and not in fathoms and versts. This means that the marking was carried out before the appearance of the USSR, but who could have done it in such volumes? Even with the use of modern technology, it will take years, decades to complete the markup. But that's not all.

Suppose it was impossible, and suppose that hundreds of thousands of serfs were waving their axes and sawing with two-handed saws through the glades, but how did they manage to make such an accurate geodetic survey? The lines of the glades do not deviate even a meter over areas of tens of kilometers, and they do not take into account the relief at all!

Riverbeds, ravines, hills, swamps did not present the slightest obstacle for the "markers". It’s like someone put down a ruler and ran a pencil on a paper map!

I didn’t think I wondered, but later I myself discovered a lot of similar objects. The territory of the former USSR has retained similar markings in many places.

Here are similar lines in the area of Borovoe Lake, in Kazakhstan. Again, the side of the square is equal to one verst.

This is also Kazakhstan. Desert plateau Ustyurt.

Later, the same lines were removed by gas engineer Kirill Kolonskikh after the plane took off from Yamburg. And here is the last find made by Anton Kazankov during the flight from Novy Urengoy to Moscow:

It is noteworthy that in the photo of 2014. which are used in the program "Google Earth", these lines are not! Old song. It is not clear who and why needed to retouch them, but the fact itself, you see, says a lot. So we are not supposed to know, but THIS is. And our knowledge of the origin of glades is dangerous for THEM.

And this is the most motivating incentive for us to solve the riddle. And for a snack, a video from Anton:
