What is magic?

If we talk about the history of magic, then the very first people with superpowers were shamans. They served as guides between nature and the tribe. Later, priests appeared who served at the courts of the kings in North Africa and conveyed the will of the gods to the people.
Then witches appear who keep others in fear. These representatives of magic (it was believed that only women can be a witch, a fiend of hell) were persecuted and censured. After that, sorcerers enter the stage of magic.
If we talk about witchcraft, then from the point of view of modern science, any person can practice it, subject to the development of certain abilities. But witchcraft can be a craft where the sorcerer performs actions in a specific order to achieve a goal. And there is magic as an art, when the sorcerer strives to obtain a unique answer from the Universe.

Attitudes towards magic have also changed over time. For example, for a primitive man there were many objects for worship, a lot of magic and wonderful around.
During antiquity, a pantheon of gods, priestess, magic rituals, amulets and medicine appeared.
The Middle Ages were marked by witch hunts and punitive executions by the Holy Inquisition.
The revival is characterized by a focus on the occult.
But modern times paid little attention to magic, therefore, famous figures of this era are rarely known.
The modern world is distinguished by the breadth of views. People may not understand, but they do not deny the presence of something magical. Sometimes magic causes apprehension and even fear. The main thing is to remember that initially magic was given to a person to serve for the good, to receive help.
