The modern world is still unable to unravel the secrets that were left to it by distant ancestors. There are many mysterious and mystical structures on our planet that testify to the existence of unique ancient civilizations. Some centuries-old architectural structures, built by the hands of long-disappeared peoples, are truly unique. Studying such structures, one can only guess what the world looked like thousands of years ago. How did the ancient people obtain a unique material for construction work, processing it so competently and skillfully that a modern architect can only envy? How did they manage to erect strong and reliable stone walls and create monoliths from materials of unknown origin? And most importantly,what purposes did such ancient structures serve? The answers to these questions have been worrying scientists for more than one hundred years.
Huge mystical buildings - megaliths
These strange stone blocks are among the most mysterious structures of ancient civilizations today. Megaliths are found all over the earth: China, Mexico, Israel, England, Malta, Japan, France and others. The mysterious architectural structures are composed of masterfully polished blocks that can weigh hundreds of tons, but their purpose remains a mystery to us.
The process of processing stone blocks, as well as their impressive size, suggests that megaliths are not the buildings of local peoples who inhabited these lands, because at that time there were no copper tools. And the wheel on which stones could be transported had not yet been invented. There is a version that the buildings could belong to the once existing ancient civilization, capable of cutting stone blocks and professionally processing them. It is even possible that they belonged to the vanished Lemuria or Atlantis.
Laos. Amazing Jug Valley
This valley with mysterious structures is located in the Hieng Khuang region of Laos. Approximately at an altitude of 1 kilometer above sea level, jugs of impressive size are located along all the hills, resembling in their shape the fabulous stupa of Baba Yaga. They are about 4 meters high and over 1 meter in diameter. The weight of one product can reach almost 6 tons, and is made of a unique type of stone that has never been found in this area.

True, according to one of the most common versions, the bodies of the dead were burned in them. Others believe that they were used to store wine or rice. However, these are all very dubious hypotheses. The only obvious fact is that these structures are more than 3 thousand years old.
Mysterious structures of antiquity - dolmens
Dolmens, or as they are also called “stone tables”, are ancient structures made of stone slabs, scattered throughout the Russian Federation, North Africa, Korea and European countries. In their shape, they are similar to an ordinary kitchen table, only of an enormous size, as if made for a giant. The dolmens are dated back to 3000 BC. It is noteworthy that these prehistoric structures differ in appearance, depending on the area in which they are located. In most cases, these objects resemble one of the letters of the Russian alphabet - the letter "P". The famous Stonehenge, which is also called the "eighth wonder of the world", is replete with just such architectural structures.
But there are dolmens that resemble a house. Similar buildings are often found in Spain and Great Britain, in the Urals and the Caucasus. These houses are composed of four vertical slabs that form the walls, as well as a fifth slab that replaces the ceiling. The front slab has a circular opening, often plugged with a stone plug. All the plates in the house are so tightly adjacent to each other that even the thinnest knife cannot pass between them.
Scientists ask questions: how were these plates made, with what tools? What devices were used to deliver the objects to the installation site? Maybe giant people built them? Perhaps this civilization had superhuman abilities, or possessed extraterrestrial technologies that are unknown to us now? If so, where did it all go? Where did the builders go?
To date, in the process of studying dolmens, there are much more disagreements than exhaustive answers. Someone considers them to be burial places, where in their time great minds went to die, and someone calls them a kind of "road signs" orienting the ancient inhabitants in space. There is also a version that dolmens are a kind of acoustic installations, because some early objects produced high-frequency vibrations and electromagnetic waves.
Yonaguni Underwater Pyramid
Another mysterious structure of the planet Earth is called the underwater pyramid off the coast of Yonaguni, located in Japan. It was discovered about a quarter of a century ago by accident - a local diver was able to see a giant pyramid under the water column. When scientists began to study it, they were amazed at the size of the monument. The structure itself has many platforms and terraces, and in addition, it is decorated with various geometric shapes. The width of the underwater structure is over 180 meters, and one of the walls drops sharply to a depth of 30 meters.
A stone sculpture was discovered very close to the monolithic structure, very reminiscent of a human head. Strange hieroglyphs are carved on it, which scientists cannot decipher. According to some estimates, the mysterious structure is more than 10,000 years old.
And again the same questions: for what purposes, and most importantly - who built this monument, because there were no special technologies for stone processing and construction of a complex object in those days. And the fact that the pyramid is under water is a completely understandable phenomenon. The ocean level 10 thousand years ago was lower by about 40 meters, and the entire monolithic structure was above the water.
As for the versions, only one thing can be said - in the case of the underwater pyramid, they simply do not exist. The only explanation is: "This pyramid was built in ancient times by a civilization unknown to us."
There are a lot of similar mysterious structures created by unknown builders and they are scattered all over the world. Every day, in different countries, new objects are discovered, the appearance of which modern scientists cannot explain.
