Residents of Buryatia and the Irkutsk region witnessed the fall of an unidentified flying object. This was first reported in the Buryat public "Anonymous 03" on October 25, and later a video of the fall itself appeared in the Russian media.
"At about 19:00 a comet was falling from the sky, glowing bright green (quite large in size)."
“At about 19:30, either a comet or a meteor flew in the sky. There was a powerful flash. Who else has seen? Kurumkan!”, - eyewitnesses write in the group.
The publication "Lenta.ru", referring to NTV, reports that it may have been an RS-18 intercontinental ballistic missile, which was successfully launched on October 25. But the Ministry of Defense told Lenta that the rocket was supposed to fall on Kamchatka:
"Judging by the timecode (if not shot down) and taking into account the time difference, the missile could not get on the record."
The amazing phenomenon is reported by dozens of people living in a thousand kilometers from each other. All of them claim that an unidentified object fell somewhere near Lake Baikal.
The operational services have not yet commented on information about a possible comet, meteorite or UFO. But experts at the astronomical observatory believe that parts of a celestial object must have fallen somewhere in a forest or mountainous area, but it is almost impossible to find them.
