Nikolay Nesprava, who is the rector of the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God "Iverskaya" in Dnepropetrovsk, known for various research expeditions, recently returned from the Donetsk region, where he took part in the study of the anomalous zone with a group of divers. A salt mine once functioned near the town of Soledar. Old-timers say that during the Great Patriotic War, the German invaders stored something so important in this mine that, retreating, they blew up the entire mine along with the contents stored there. People who knew about the substances stored there were shot, including the German soldiers who were guarding the mine.

Father Nikolai says that the mine is now completely flooded. The divers decided to explore the four lakes that cover the mine, but they came across a number of phenomena that defy explanation. All the lakes under study are saline, but one of them is not only hypersaline, like the waters of the Dead Sea, but also has such a feature - the deeper you go, the warmer the water becomes. This lake has a diameter of about one hundred meters. In the middle it is divided by a sand spit. At a depth of about 4.5m, the density of the water increases. And this transition is visible to the naked eye. The head of the diving club, Andrei Vorobyov, who plunged into this lake, says that he met this only when diving into caves, where there is a transition from fresh water to salt. Such dense water looks like liquid glass. This is called the halocline effect. Andrey assures that he has never seen such an effect in a combination of salty and even saltier water. The lower water column turned out to be so dense that the divers simply "lay down" on it and could not move on. Even the rather heavy equipment did not help. In addition, the researchers noted the fact that the water became warmer by as much as 10 degrees. If on the surface the water had a temperature of 20 degrees, then in the lower layers it already reached 30-40. As a rule, the opposite happens - the lower - the colder. But the unusual phenomena did not end there. In the other half of the lake, behind the sand spit, the water was, on the contrary, very cold - about 10 degrees. It is unclear how this could be in one body of water. In addition, fish swam in the part where the water was colder.

Further, the researchers decided not to descend until scientists study the unusual lake and possibly explain the reason for the natural paradox. Divers are afraid to go deeper, as they assume that there may be some kind of chemical reaction.

If this lake is safe and at the bottom of it there is simply a rebirth of the breed, then a team of research divers may have opened a new resort. But, in any case, research is needed to explain the reasons for these incomprehensible phenomena.

Currently, Andrei Vorobyov and his comrades are actively looking for a scientist whom they are ready to teach diving, since it is very important to understand the reason for such an anomaly, because local residents are trying to use silt for medicinal purposes, attributing miraculous powers to it, and this can be dangerous and people need warn about it
