For the capture of Bigfoot, impressive sums were offered before. For example, in 2012, the governor of the Kemerovo region of the Russian Federation, Aman Tuleyev, promised to pay a million rubles to that Russian who was lucky enough to catch the legendary monster. And even earlier, in 2009, an equally solid reward for catching a Yeti was established for Canadian citizens.

Someone believes that officials and various organizations in fact simply do not believe in the Yeti, and therefore can offer any money for his capture. “Look, they say, we are ready to pay a whole million for this, but it is still not in demand by anyone. Maybe there is really no Bigfoot?"

Others believe that the founders of such awards, on the contrary, are burning with a burning desire to receive one hundred percent proof of the existence of the cryptid and therefore are not stingy in this case. True, only they themselves can, of course, know the true goals of the organizers of such "jokes".

A million dollars for the capture of Bigfoot: isn't it weak?

Earlier this month, the well-known American company Bigfoot Project Investments, which has sponsored the search for the sasquatch for many years, offered a million dollars (minus taxes, of course) to any resident of the United States who could catch the mythical relict hominid himself or provide specialists with information about the exact location of the primate, which allows experts to catch the mysterious creature.

The competition is held from April 2 to December 25 this year. A California-based team of enthusiasts called Searching for Bigfoot claims to have already hit the trail of Bigfoot in Ohio. The men plan to hunt down the Yeti and put him to sleep with a tranquilizer dart, and then put the creature in a cage, once and for all proving to the people of science that the sasquatch is not a fiction.

The leader of the group, Xavier King, says that he and his colleagues even managed to photograph the Bigfoot they were looking for, but until the end of the year the most valuable picture will not be made public, because otherwise it could help the team's competitors.

Members of Searching for Bigfoot travel for nine months each year, touring America to find the cryptid. Enthusiasts have plenty of circumstantial evidence for the existence of Bigfoot: casts of footprints, clumps of wool, even specimens of primate excrement. The men plan to live in tent camps for weeks and travel through the forests of Ohio to hunt down the yeti, get close to the monster and catch it.

However, the most experienced researchers of the Yeti phenomenon are skeptical about such undertakings, and even more so to the naive hopes of the hunters "Searching for Bigfoot" to earn a million dollars on Bigfoot. The fact is that such a cryptid, even if it were actually caught, by itself could cost (even dead) tens, or even hundreds of millions of dollars. And despite this, until now no one has caught him or even killed him (not a single one, although they are found practically all over the world). Even to shoot a yeti on a video camera, no one really succeeds …

On the one hand, this proves to skeptics that there is no Bigfoot, and on the other, those who saw and met him, once again convinces that the Yeti is far from a primacy unknown to science, but a mysterious creature, most likely, from a parallel world. Moreover, an intelligent creature with telepathy, hypnosis, teleportation and, most importantly, the ability to easily leave our world - try to catch this, especially for a miserable million dollars …
