Five-year-old George Ashman of Somerset was born with a very ugly bright red birthmark on his face. In addition to aesthetic discomfort and offensive teasing from other children, doctors and parents were worried that in the future, a mole could turn into a malignant tumor

When George was four years old, doctors decided to surgically remove the mole. But the "hole" from her on the forehead had to be closed with something and it was desirable to do it without the terrible scars from skin grafts. And then, at their own peril and risk, the doctors went for a unique procedure. They inserted two implants under the skin of the forehead, two "horns" so that the skin on the forehead stretched out enough and an extra piece appeared to hide the scar after removing the mole.

With such "horns" the boy passed four months. After that, the implants were removed. the mole was cut out and covered with extra elongated skin, after which only a small scar remained on the child's forehead, no more than Harry Potter's.

Karen, the boy's mother, says that when she saw George with the "horns" for the first time, she almost fainted.

-My little angel looked like a devil! I'm speechless.

Subsequently, Karen tirelessly thanked the doctors for their work. From the very day she was born, she was afraid that a terrible mole in the future would greatly harm her son. True, these four months of waiting for the skin to stretch were not the best for her and her son. Poor George was already laughed at not only by children, but also by adults. Some could not hide their disgust. But Karen says she loves her son with anyone, horned or hornless, little devil or angel.
