Our psyche is such a complex and unexplored instrument that the mechanisms of its action have actually been studied very little. Oddly enough, in the ancient Ayurvedic treatises more "advanced" things were told about her than in modern textbooks.

Calm mind

Ayurvedic healers from the most ancient times to the present day believe that a lot of human diseases depend solely on his thoughts. The famous Ayurvedic healer Madhavana Munusami writes: "If the mind is in good condition, then the body will be in good too."

This suggests that many of our diseases are purely psychosomatic. When we are nervous, we wind ourselves up, we panic, then in the very literal sense our heart begins to ache, blood pressure rises, and the most unpleasant consequences are possible, up to heart attacks and strokes.

And there is a feedback - if we have something sick, then we begin to panic, aggravating our painful condition, and we can cause serious consequences for ourselves.

And therefore it is important to be able to master the psyche, so as not to wear out your body and be healthy. And in Ayurveda, a great deal of attention is paid to the calmness of the mind. It is no coincidence that many spa salons use Ayurveda practices - pleasant aromas, calm music, beautiful visuals. And this in itself is a treatment, because it calms a person's thoughts.

Many people who have visited such places, then say that their illnesses literally receded, to the extent that after complete relaxation, elevated blood sugar decreased.

A calm mind is a healthy body, which is why it is so important to be able to relax. You don't have to go to an Ayurveda specialist or spa to do this. If you panic, wind yourself up, then try to switch your consciousness.

It is enough just to close your eyes, start breathing deeply, mentally imagine yourself on the ocean shore or by a waterfall, or in any other comfortable place where you felt happy. And calmness will make many diseases recede …

A case from one's life

The most amazing thing is that with the help of the power of thought, you can really cure some diseases. In my own practice, there have been several such cases. After a sports injury, I had serious problems with my spine. And sometimes there were bouts of acute pain, which intensified if I walked or sat a lot. Once, when I was just starting to study all these practices, I was on an expedition in Italy, and my back was very painful. So much so that I could not even drive in the car along the famous ancient Roman roads made of stones. Each thrust was a very strong pain, literally to tears. And neither the warming ointments nor the pain-relieving pills helped.

I had to walk a lot, and in the evenings I could hardly crawl to bed. And somehow we spent the whole day on our feet - from 6 in the morning. And in the evening I could not lie down because I was traveling by train from Florence to Rome. And the pain was already so strong that it was only necessary to literally rip off the emergency tap and call the ambulance. But in a foreign country, and even without knowing the Italian language, it was impossible to imagine.

And in this stressful and hopeless situation from all sides, I remembered that I had read about healing the disease with the power of thought. I closed my eyes and began to imagine that my spine was healthy. I imagined that there was a flow inside me, which simultaneously warms up the vertebrae, moisturizes them and puts them in place. My pain was so intense that I meditated on it with all my might, devoutly believed that this was exactly what was happening. The trip was long, and the whole time I imagined it, I was entirely in my back and spine. And the pain actually subsided! And to such an extent that I had already jumped out of the train. My companion was very surprised, because before that I was constantly tormented by pain and could hardly walk. And from that day on, I was already briskly moving around Italy, and moreover, since then I have not had these acute attacks of pain.

Of course, many diseases cannot be cured with meditation (although there are many oral stories of how people even got rid of cancer with the help of the power of thought). But it is quite possible to get rid of some of the diseases in this way. Moreover, the rested body of a calm person acquires new strength to fight diseases.
