The Norilsk Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia received a statement from a local resident born in 1958. The woman said that over the course of several years, unknown persons deceived her 2 million 178 thousand rubles.

As it turned out, back in 2014, the victim saw on TV the performance of a "healer" providing services over the phone. The woman was told that she needed to undergo a cleansing and healing session.

In order to pay for the services of healers, the woman made several money transfers to the account indicated by the interlocutors, after which she learned that an even more terrible threat hung over her family, which can only be eliminated with additional sessions. Within a month, the applicant transferred 1.8 million rubles to the attackers. Psychics imposed a vow of silence on her and demanded not to tell anyone about anything, the press service of the regional police said.

At the beginning of 2016, unknown persons who introduced themselves as representatives of the Department of Clairvoyance and Healing called the victim's phone, and said that the persons to whom she had previously transferred funds were under investigation. In order to return the money spent on pseudo-services, in accordance with the law, a woman must pay income tax. The Norilsk woman agreed to this proposal and transferred about 300 thousand rubles.

In October 2016, a Norilsk woman received a certified letter stating that she had been recognized as a victim in a criminal fraud case and that she could receive a monetary compensation in the amount of 400 thousand rubles when drawing up an insurance policy. When she called the phone number indicated in the letter, the woman found out that another 18 thousand rubles had to be transferred to the account of the document. After the transfer of funds, no one got in touch with the northerner anymore.

Law enforcement officers are investigating.
